Ioannis Alevizakis is a graduate of the Medical School of the University of Athens. Throughout his career, he has served for 10 consecutive years at the "Evangelismos" Hospital, initially specializing in Surgery and subsequently as a Consultant Surgeon. Since 2022, following a successful evaluation, he joined the Hellenic Coast Guard as a Medical Officer and currently serves as a Consultant Surgeon at the Athens Naval Hospital while also practicing as a Private Surgeon.
He has experience across the full spectrum of diseases and surgical procedures in General Surgery, including Esophageal, Gastric, Duodenal, Pancreatic, Hepato-Biliary, Splenic, Small and Large Intestinal Surgery, Thyroid-Parathyroid, Adrenal, Breast, Skin-Subcutaneous, Vascular Access surgeries, and Abdominal Wall Hernia Repair Surgeries. He possesses particular expertise in Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery, having trained at the 3rd Surgical Clinic - Laparoscopic Surgery Unit of "Evangelismos" Hospital, performing a significant number of such surgeries and participating in numerous related post-graduate training activities both in Greece and abroad.
He is a member of the most prominent Medical Scientific Societies related to General Surgery. He holds the title of Trainer from the Hellenic Surgical Society.
He continuously participates in conferences in his specialty and has authored a large number of scientific publications.
