Σπούδασε στην Ιατρική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών και μετά το πέρας των σπουδών του μετέβη απευθείας στο εξωτερικό και πραγματοποίησε το σύνολο της ειδικότητας της Χειρουργικής σε ένα από τα πλέον ιστορικά και ονομαστά Πανεπιστήμια της Γερμανίας, την Πανεπιστημιακή Κλινική του «Philipps-University Marburg», που αποτελεί κορυφαίο κέντρο αναφοράς στη χειρουργική ενδοκρινών αδένων και νευροενδοκρινών όγκων. Το έντονο και διαρκώς αυξανόμενο επιστημονικό και ακαδημαϊκό ενδιαφέρον του, τον οδήγησε στην ολοκλήρωση της διδακτορικής του διατριβής το 2019 με θέμα «Evaluation of the safety of early drain removal after partial pancreaticoduodenectomy».

Μετά την απόκτηση της ειδικότητας της Γενικής και Σπλαχνικής Χειρουργικής, εργάστηκε αρχικά ως επιμελητής Β και στη συνέχεια ως επιμελητής Α και σε άλλες ονομαστές κλινικές της Γερμανίας, συμμετέχοντας και διενεργώντας και ο ίδιος πληθώρα επεμβάσεων που καλύπτουν όλο το φάσμα της γενικής χειρουργικής. Παράλληλα με την εξειδίκευσή του στη χειρουργική ενδοκρινών αδένων, παρακολούθησε το Μεταπτυχιακό Πρόγραμμα του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης, με αντικείμενο τη Στατιστική και Αναλυτική Βιοϊατρικών Δεδομένων (Health Statistics and Data Analytics), το οποίο και ολοκλήρωσε με άριστα, αποκτώντας τον τίτλο Master of Science (MSc).
