Είναι συγγραφέας σε περισσότερα από 15 επιστημονικά άρθρα σε έγκυρα επιστημονικά περιοδικά του εξωτερικού. Έχει συμμετάσχει ως προσκεκλημένος ομιλητής σε ελληνικά συνέδρια και έχει λάβει μέρος στη συγγραφική ομάδα σε σχεδόν 50 ανακοινώσεις σε διεθνή και ελληνικά συνέδρια. Έχει συμμετάσχει ενεργά σε πολυκεντρικές κλινικές μελέτες. Έχει διδάξει σε φοιτητές του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, στο πλαίσιο προπτυχιακών μαθημάτων. Εκπλήρωσε την υποχρεωτική υπηρεσία υπαίθρου ως ιατρός του Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Τρικάλων στο Περιφερειακό Ιατρείο «Κονισκού» και θήτευσε ως ειδικευόμενος Παθολογίας στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Αθηνών «Σισμανόγλειο», στο πλαίσιο της εκπαίδευσής του για την ειδικότητα της Γαστρενετρολογίας.
