Tyrmpas Ioannis is a Gastroenterologist-Interventional Endoscopist with private practices in Korydallos and Marousi. Το 2006 ξεκίνησε την μετεκπαίδευσή του πάνω στον τομέα της Ηπατολογίας και στον τομέα μεταμοσχεύσεων συμπαγών οργάνων (Fellowship in Transplant Hepatology) στο εξειδικευμένο κέντρο έρευνας και μεταμοσχεύσεων ISMETT του Πανεπιστημίου του Pittsburgh στην Ιταλία, ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα κέντρα μεταμοσχεύσεων συμπαγών οργάνων της Ιταλίας, στο οποίο εργάστηκε διατελώντας όλα αυτά τα χρόνια σημαντικό κλινικό και ερευνητικό έργο. Το 2011 έγινε Διδάκτωρ της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου του Palermo στην Ιταλία με βαθμολογία: 70/70, "Άριστα" και το 2013 ανακηρύχθηκε Διπλωματούχος Μεταπτυχιακού προγράμματος στην Διοίκηση, Οργάνωση και Κλινική διαχείριση στην μεταμόσχευση ήπατος που συστάθηκε στο Πανεπιστήμιο Cattolica del Sacro Cuore της Ρώμης στην Ιταλία.
