He has specific expertise in interventional procedures such as large polyp polypectomies with EMR, balloon enteroscopy (double or single balloon enteroscopy), esophageal variceal ligation, dilation of gastrointestinal strictures, gastrostomy placement (PEG), and others. He served as a consultant in the Gastroenterology Department of the hospital "Elpis" until the end of 2020.

Ο γιατρός από την πρώτη επίσκεψη ήταν εξαιρετικά σχολαστικός και πήρε πλήρες ιστορικό. Έδωσε αγωγή με σαφής οδηγίες για την προσωρινή αντιμετώπιση του προβλήματος προτού προχωρήσει σε ενδελεχή έλεγχο για τον εντοπισμό της αιτίας του προβλήματος πάντα με σεβασμό και ανθρωπιά. Εντόπισε την αιτία και έδωσε λύση στο πρόβλημα. Καθόλη την διαδικασία ήταν δίπλα μου με επικοινωνία. Εξαιρετικά χαρούμενος που τον επέλεξα και τον συστήνω με κλειστά μάτια. Πάνω από όλα άνθρωπος αλλά και εξαιρετικός γιατρός.

    • There is no "suspected ulcer", there is CONFIRMED ULCER after specific tests.
      I don't know who talked to you about a "suspected ulcer" diagnosis without invasive testing...

    I have sharp stabbing/cramp-like pain on my upper left abdomen which is also felt towards the left side of my back, what could cause it since it started suddenly and really intensely?

    • The cause could be a reason for you to go directly to the E.R.
      Stop asking questions through the web to strangers who CANNOT examine you and go to the E.R. (or a doctor's office) to be examined properly!

  • Νόσος Crohn

    As a 21-year old with Crohn's disease -which also caused fistulas, a lump showed up in my perineum area. How could I treat it/should I check with a doctor?

    • I would suggest you first started with a surgeon's opinion for this local finding.
      If this is related to your Crohn's, then you should also receive advice from your gastroenterologist concerning your current therapy (azathioprine? and/or anti-TNF/biologics??) and future dose titration or combination therapy (in conjuction with probable surgical treatment).
      ALWAYS check with your doctor! You have Crohn's which can be a fistulizing and/or stenotizing disease so you should promptly take your doctor's advice whenever something strange appears...
