Παράλληλα, συμμετείχε στο Robotic and Minimally Invasive Surgery Center του ίδιου νοσοκομείου.Στην Ελλάδα, εργάστηκε ως Academic Scholar/Consultant General Surgeon στο Πανεπιστημιακό Τμήμα Χειρουργικής του Γενικού Ογκολογικού Νοσοκομείου Κηφισιάς «Άγιοι Ανάργυροι»,ενώ απέκτησε επιπλέον κλινική εμπειρία στο Metropolitan General, όπου εργάστηκε ως χειρουργός και ως Consultant στη Χειρουργική Ογκολογία.Έχει ολοκληρώσει την εκπαίδευσή του στη Γενική Χειρουργική σε σημαντικά νοσοκομεία της Αθήνας, μεταξύ των οποίων το Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Αθηνών «Ιπποκράτειο», το Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Νέας Ιωνίας «Αγία Όλγα – Κωνσταντοπούλειο» και το Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Νίκαιας «Άγιος Παντελεήμων», αποκτώντας ευρεία κλινική εμπειρία στη χειρουργική αντιμετώπιση διαφορετικών παθήσεων.Η επαγγελματική του πορεία χαρακτηρίζεται από συνεχή μετεκπαίδευση, διεθνή κλινική εμπειρία και εξειδίκευση στις σύγχρονες χειρουργικές τεχνικές, με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στην αντιμετώπιση παθήσεων του ανώτερου γαστρεντερικού και των ογκολογικών περιστατικών.

Ο Γιάλβαλης Δημήτριος MD, MSc είναι Διευθυντής Χειρουργός του Ε' Χειρουργικού Τμήματος της Ευρωκλινικής Αθηνών. Γενικός Χειρουργός με εξειδίκευση στην Χειρουργική Ενδοκρινών και στην Λαπαροσκοπική & Ρομποτική Χειρουργική και κάτοχος τίτλου Μεταπτυχιακού Τίτλου (MSc) στην Ελάχιστα επεμβατική και Ρομποτική Χειρουργική του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στο Χαλάνδρι και στην Καλαμάτα. Μετεκπαιδεύτηκε στη Λαπαροσκοπική Χειρουργική Άνω Γαστρεντερικού στο St’James University Hospital στο Leeds, εξειδικεύτηκε (ως Senior Clinical Fellow) στην Ενδοκρινική Χειρουργική του King’s College Hospital στο Λονδίνο και ακολούθως μετεκπαιδεύτηκε στο Πανεπιστημιακό Νοσοκομείο της Πίζας στην ελάχιστα επεμβατική ενδοσκοπική θυρεοειδεκτομή / παραθυρεοειδεκτομή (MIVAT MIVAP). Συμμετείχε σε πλήθος μετεκπαιδευτικών σεμιναρίων Λαπαροσκοπικής χειρουργικής και σύγχρονων χειρουργικών τεχνικών, στην συγγραφή επιστημονικών άρθρων, σε παρουσιάσεις και ομιλίες σε ποικίλα ιατρικά συνέδρια, καθώς επίσης είχε ενεργό ρόλο στην εκπαίδευση των ειδικευομένων και φοιτητών ιατρικής. Έχει διατελέσει συνεργάτης Χειρουργός στο Τμήμα Μαστού του Νοσοκομείου Metropolitan, υπηρέτησε ως επικουρικός Επιμελητής Β΄ στην Α΄ Χειρουργική Κλινική του Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Αττικής ΚΑΤ, Επιστημονικός Συνεργάτης Ενδοκρινικής Χειρουργικής, στην Κλινική Γενικής & Λαπαροσκοπικής Χειρουργικής και Χειρουργικής Πεπτικού στο Ιατρικό Κέντρο Αθηνών και Επιστημονικός Συνεργάτης Ενδοκρινικής Χειρουργικής του Metropolitan General. Έχει πολύπλευρη και μακρόχρονη εμπειρία, έχοντας πραγματοποιήσει μεγάλο αριθμό επεμβάσεων όλου του φάσματος της Γενικής, Λαπαροσκοπικής, Ενδοκρινικής και Ογκολογικής χειρουργικής, καθώς και επείγουσας χειρουργικής και χειρουργικής τραύματος.

Georgopoulos Nikolaos is a General Surgeon and maintains private practices in Mavili Square and in Sparta. From 2012 until 2023, he served as Director of the 2nd Surgical Clinic at the Naval Hospital of Athens, and he is currently the Director of the Surgical Clinic at Mediterraneo Hospital. He graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and completed his specialization in General Surgery in 1996, having trained at the Naval Hospitals of Crete and Athens, as well as at the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos," where he received training in trauma, upper and lower gastrointestinal surgery, endocrine gland surgery, bariatric surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and organ transplantation. Overall (including surgeries performed in private clinics), he has operated on over 7,500 patients. In the intervening periods, he completed further training abroad in Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, England, Switzerland, and Brazil. In his latest training in lower rectal cancer, he had the opportunity to successfully perform laparoscopic surgery (including TaTME), preserving the sphincters and anus and avoiding permanent colostomy. He has also been trained in Robotic Surgery. Finally, with over 20 years of experience, he co-organizes Greek and international conferences, keeping up with and contributing to advancements in surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and bariatric surgery.
