Giannakitsa Vera MSc

Giannakitsa Vera is a Dietitian-Nutritionist and runs a private dietetic practice in Koukaki. She graduated from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics in Crete and subsequently completed postgraduate studies at the Medical School of the University of Athens, focusing on "Environment and Health: Management of Environmental Issues Affecting Health." Her undergraduate thesis on the "Correlation between Bulimia and Obesity," as well as her master's thesis on the "Impact of Pesticides, particularly Glyphosate, on Health," were awarded excellent grades. She completed her internship at Metropolitan Hospital in Neo Faliro. She then trained in the program "Beyond the Limits of Diet," which aims at modifying the behavior of individuals suffering from chronic restrictive diets, at the Psychological Applications Center in Chalandri. She has collaborated with Yava Fitness Centers, New Day Slimming Institutes, and Sakopoulou Pharmacies in Koukaki and Triantafyllas Pharmacy in Pagkrati (ofarmakopoiosmou.gr). Finally, due to her holistic approach to nutrition, she completed the annual 100-hour Counseling and Systemic Therapy training at the Laboratory of Systemic Therapy and Pedagogy in 2023-2024 and is continuing her education in Psychology and Psychotherapy. Additionally, due to the connection between difficult emotional states and nutrition, she is training in Dance Therapy to achieve a comprehensive understanding and awareness of body functions.
