Είναι Πρόεδρος της Ελληνικής Χειρουργικής Εταιρείας Παχυσαρκίας, Γενικός Γραμματέας της Ελληνικής Λαπαροσκοπικής Εταιρείας, καθώς και Fellow διεθνών επιστημονικών οργανισμών, όπως το American College of Surgeons, η American Society of Breast Surgeons και το Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.
