Pappis Xarilaos MD, PhD, FEBS, FACS

Pappis Xarilaos is a General Surgeon, graduate of the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a grade of Excellent and has specialized and undergone further training in Germany, France, and Belgium. He holds a specialization in Robotic Surgery from the IRCAD University Center in Strasbourg and has extensive experience in advanced surgical fields such as laparoscopic and robotic oncology and bariatric surgery. He has served as Director of the Surgical Clinic at Euroclinic Athens for a decade, Director of the 3rd Surgical Clinic at HYGEIA Hospital for 14 years, and currently directs the Clinic of Laparoscopic Endoscopic Oncology and Bariatric Surgery at Iatriko Athens. He is an active member of the scientific community with a strong presence in international and Greek conferences and has served as President and Organizer of significant scientific meetings, such as the International Laparoscopic Experts’ Meetings, the Cancer Forum, the Panhellenic Conference on Bariatric Surgery, and the Panhellenic Conference on Laparoscopic Surgery. He is President of the Hellenic Surgical Society of Bariatric Surgery, former President of the Hellenic Laparoscopic Society, as well as a Fellow of international scientific organizations, including the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, and the Society of Robotic Surgeons. He represents Greece in the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity (IFSO).

He has a series of publications in international scientific journals and participates annually in global conferences worldwide.
