Koufaki Maria is an award-winning clinical dietitian-nutritionist who has maintained a private practice in Marousi since 2006. She graduated from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, UK, where she successfully completed her studies as a clinical dietitian-nutritionist. In 2004, she continued her education at the University of Bristol, England, where she specialized with a Master of Science degree in Nutrition, Exercise, and Public Health, graduating with honors and distinction for outstanding academic performance. She has accumulated over 20 years of dietetic experience and has operated her private clinic in Marousi since 2006. Additionally, she has collaborated with the private hospital "Hygeia", with hospitals in the United Kingdom, and serves as the director of the DietMet nutrition center, where she conducts individual sessions with her clients. She has worked on nutritional support for individuals with special needs at the "Athena" Boarding House of the Society for Psychosocial Development and Psychotherapy, and has also served as the lead dietitian for the Municipality of Marousi in the European program "Paidiatrofi Epode," aimed at preventing childhood obesity. In recent years, she has focused on the practice of mindful eating, emphasizing the psychological management of obesity and binge eating disorder through proper education on balanced nutrition and the use of a non-restrictive approach.
