Είναι απόφοιτος της Ιατρικής Σχολής Πατρών και Διδάκτωρ της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου της Κολωνίας με ειδικό ενδιαφέρον της Διατριβής του στην αρθροπλαστική του γόνατος. Είναι επίσης κάτοχος Μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου σπουδών του Ανοιχτού Πανεπιστημίου της Κύπρου στον τομέα της Διοίκησης Μονάδων Υγείας. Επιπροσθέτως, είναι κάτοχος του Τίτλου Ειδικότητας της Αθλητιατρικής (Sports Medicine Specialty) από την Γερμανική Ιατρική Εταιρεία. Επίσης, ο Δρ. Ιωάννης Γιαννακόπουλος υπήρξε εκπαιδευτής πολλών νέων συναδέλφων στη Γερμανία και προσκεκλημένος ομιλητής σε πολλά επιστημονικά συνέδρια στην Ευρώπη και την Ελλάδα. Παράλληλα είχε τον ρόλο εκπαιδευτή για την εταιρεία Microport Orthopedics, στην πρωτοποριακή ελάχιστα επεμβατική τεχνική αρθροπλαστικής ισχίου (PATH® HIP Arthroplasty) και στην ρομποτική αρθροπλαστική γόνατος. Τέλος, ο Δρ. Ιωάννης Γιαννακόπουλος επιστρέφοντας στην Ελλάδα εφαρμόζει την ίδια ακριβώς αξιόπιστη γερμανική νοοτροπία και τεχνογνωσία στον τόπο του, παρέχοντας στους ασθενείς του τις πιο σύγχρονες θεραπευτικές τεχνικές.

Vasilakis Aleksandros is an Orthopedic Surgeon with a private practice in Cholargos. Simultaneously, he serves as a Consultant in the Orthopedic Clinic at Metropolitan Hospital in N. Faliro. He graduated from the Medical School of Democritus University of Thrace and holds a Master’s degree (MSc) in "Metabolic Bone Diseases - Osteoporosis" from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. From 2019 to 2022, he held the position of Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon in the Orthopedic Clinic at Asklipieio Voulas General Hospital, after which he has been providing his services in the private sector. He manages the treatment of conditions across the entire spectrum of Orthopedics, with particular interest in hip and knee arthroplasty, reconstructive surgery of foot disorders, and percutaneous minimally invasive reconstructive surgery of hallux valgus (bunion). He is also specialized in Arthroscopic Surgery of sports injuries and has further specialized in Hand Surgery - Microsurgery at KAT General Hospital and Asklipieio Voulas General Hospital. Dr. Vasilakis has participated in numerous national and international conferences, educational seminars, and courses on newer techniques, and has a scientific record with publications in international journals. He is a member of the Hellenic Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology, the Hellenic Arthroscopy Society, the Athens Medical Association, and the General Medical Council of the United Kingdom.
