Έχει ειδικό ενδιαφέρον στη διάγνωση και θεραπευτική αντιμετώπιση των νευροαναπτυξιακών διαταραχών όπως η Διαταραχή Αυτιστικού Φάσματος (ΔΑΦ), η Νοητική Αναπτυξιακή Διαταραχή, η Διαταραχή Ελλειμματικής Προσοχής – Υπερκινητικότητας ενηλίκων (ΔΕΠΥ).Έχει εργαστεί ως επικεφαλής ιατρός για 4 έτη σε Ειδικό Ιατρείο αναπτυξιακών διαταραχών με στόχο την αγωγή υγείας ,την πρόληψη των ψυχικών διαταραχών, την αναγνώριση και έγκαιρη αντιμετώπισή τους, την αποσυμφόρησή της οικογένειας και την καταπολέμηση του “κοινωνικού στίγματος” που την περιβάλλει (ΕΚΕΨΥΕ στον Πειραιά) .

Είναι ενήμερος και ακολουθεί τις τρέχουσες  εξελίξεις στις νευροεπιστήμες τόσο της νευροβιολογίας όσο και της γενετικής . Επιπλέον, χρησιμοποιεί την φαρμακογενετική (αλληλεπίδραση των γονιδίων του κάθε ασθενή με τα φάρμακα του ΚΝΣ) για γρηγορότερη ύφεση των συμπτωμάτων & μείωση των παρενεργειών από τη χορήγηση της θεραπείας.

Παράλληλα, έχει παρουσιάσει πλήθος ερευνητικών εργασιών σε διεθνούς κύρους συνέδρια ψυχικής υγειάς στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό .

Η τρέχουσα κλινική του πρακτική και έρευνα επικεντρώνεται στη Δεκτική Μουσικοθεραπεία Guided Imagery & Music (GIM) και Music Imagery (MI), που πραγματοποιείται στην Ελλάδα επισήμως από την Διεπιστημονική Εταιρεία Μουσικοθεραπείας SONORA. Αυτή η θεραπευτική μέθοδος απευθύνεται σε όλες τις ηλικίες σε όλους τους τομείς: της ψυχοθεραπείας και συμβουλευτικής, της ψυχιατρικής,

του ψυχικού τραύματος, της ψυχο-ογκολογίας, της περιγεννητικής ψυχολογίας, της ανακουφιστικής φροντίδας, των εξαρτήσεων, της γηριατρικής και της νευρολογίας.

Theleritis Xristos is a Psychiatrist - Psychotherapist and maintains a private practice in the Evangelismos area.
