Kounios Dimitrios

Kounios Dimitrios is a Gastroenterologist and maintains a private practice in Vrilissia.

He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Thrace (admission through Panhellenic exams in 1986) with a specialization in Gastroenterology, which he obtained during his specialty training at the Gastroenterology Department of the General Hospital of Attica "Sismanogleio".

During his specialty training, he performed 70 liver biopsies and participated in the completion of research protocols in the field of Hepatology.

Simultaneously, he participated in more than 2000 diagnostic endoscopies of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract.

He has collaborated with various private clinics in Athens, such as the "Euroclinic of Athens" and "Hygeia". Additionally, he has worked at the 2nd University Internal Medicine Clinic of the University of Athens at the General Hospital of Athens "Hippokration" to acquire clinical experience in Hepatology.

To date, as a specialist Gastroenterologist - Hepatologist, the physician has extensive professional experience, actively participates in national and international conferences and symposia, has a broad writing portfolio and publications, maintaining his excellent training and knowledge in his field of expertise.

He remains to this day an external collaborator of the Central Clinic of Athens.
