Theodorou Aleksis FACS, MSc, PhDc, FEBS

Theodorou Aleksis is a General Surgeon with extensive training and professional experience both in Greece and abroad, maintaining his private practice in Cholargos. He graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He completed his specialty in General and Abdominal Surgery in Germany, at the academic hospital of Cologne (Oberberg) and at the University Hospital Bonn. In 2023, he completed his postgraduate studies at Maastricht University, obtaining a Master of Science in Health Policy, Innovation, and Management. Currently, he is a PhD candidate at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His professional career includes significant positions in prestigious hospitals across Europe, such as the University Hospital Bonn and the Academic Hospital Gummersbach in Germany, where he worked as a Surgeon. Since 2024, he has been the Director of the 3rd Surgical Clinic at Euroclinic Athens and concurrently serves as an Academic Fellow and Researcher in the 1st Propaedeutic Surgery Department of the University of Athens. He is active in the academic and professional community and holds leadership roles, including General Secretary of the Hellenic Hernia Society and Member of the Board of Directors of the European Hernia Society. He is a trainer for the European Hernia Society in hernia repair techniques and a guest speaker at conferences worldwide.
