Karamanou Aleksandra is a Cardiologist and PhD holder from the University of Athens, with a private practice in Agios Dimitrios, actively engaged in the full spectrum of cardiology. She studied Medicine at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. During her studies, she worked for 3 months at Kantonspital Bruderholz in Switzerland. As a rural doctor, she served for 2 years at the Peripheral Clinic of Gravia and at the General Hospital of Amfissa from 2005 to 2007. As a Cardiology Resident, she worked at Sismanoglio Hospital in Athens and completed her specialty training at the General Hospital "Asklipieio Voulas". During her specialty, she trained at the Hemodynamic Laboratory of Asklipieio Voulas, the Nuclear Medicine Department of Metaxa General Hospital, and the Cardiac Surgery Clinic of Hippokration Hospital in Athens.
Subsequently, she received further training in Advanced Echocardiographic Techniques (stress echo and transesophageal echocardiography) at the 251 General Military Hospital of Athens and obtained the corresponding specialization certification following examinations. She also worked as a Scientific Collaborator at the 2nd University Cardiology Clinic of the University General Hospital "Attikon" during the preparation of her doctoral thesis. Additionally, she holds certification from the Hellenic Cardiological Society for smoking cessation. Finally, she has participated as a speaker in numerous conferences presenting her research work and has published articles in both Greek and international journals. She collaborates with diagnostic centers and private clinics in Athens.
