Zaxou Sotiria

Zaxou Sotiria MD, MSc is a Dermatologist-Venereologist Director of the Department of Nevi and Skin Tumors at the Medical Center of Palaio Faliro. She was admitted through the national entrance examinations and studied at the Medical School of the University of Patras. She began her specialization in Dermatology in Germany, specifically at Klinikum Duisburg, where she specialized for one year and gained experience in dermatological manifestations of patients with rheumatological diseases. She then continued her specialization at the Dermatology Clinic of the University Hospital of Essen in Germany, a world-renowned center for melanoma. She completed her specialization at Andreas Syggros Hospital for Venereal and Dermatological Diseases. She holds a two-year Master’s degree in Aesthetic Medicine and has specialized in dermatoscopy, recognition, and therapeutic management of skin tumors as part of a postgraduate program from the Medical School of the University of Thessaloniki. She has participated as a delegate in numerous conferences on developments in Dermatology and Dermatoscopy in Greece and abroad. She has also attended many conferences and hands-on courses in dermatologic surgery as well as injectable therapies. She has been a speaker at Greek Dermatology conferences and an author in the journal of the Hellenic Dermatology-Venereology Society. She obtained the Dermatology-Venereology specialty title in Greece following oral and written examinations. She holds medical licenses to practice medicine in Greece and Germany. She is a member of the Hellenic Dermatological and Venereological Society (EDAE), the Hellenic Society of Dermatologic Surgery (EEDX), the Hellenic Society of Dermoscopy (HDS), the International Dermoscopy Society (IDS), and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV). She is a founding member of the Professional Association of Cosmetic Dermatology.
