Τον Μάϊο του 2023 εξελέγη Επισκέπτης Καθηγητής Νεογνικής - Παιδικής - Εφηβικής Ενδοκρινολογίας και ως επιστέγασμα της Ακαδημαϊκής του διαδρομής, τον Ιούνιο του 2024 εξελέγη Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής Παιδιατρικής, Υπεύθυνος Νεογνικής - Παιδικής - Εφηβικής Ενδοκρινολογίας & Διαβήτη, στο Τμήμα Ιατρικής της Σχολής Επιστημών Υγείας του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας.

Christina Rogakou is a Cardiologist specialized in congenital heart disease in both children and adults, as well as in interventional cardiology. She has extensive clinical experience in specialized cardiology centers in Germany and Greece and holds a PhD from Heidelberg University, with her research focusing on out-of-hospital resuscitation by laypersons.

She graduated from the Medical School of the University of Patras and obtained her cardiology specialization in 2017, having completed her residency at the Duisburg Cardiology Center in Germany. She then worked there as a Senior Registrar and, from 2020 to 2023, served as Head of the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Unit. She has also received additional training in pediatric cardiology and structural heart diseases through postgraduate programs at the University of Münster.

Since 2023, she has been collaborating with the Pediatric Cardiology Department of the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center in Athens, while also working with Hygeia Hospital and Euroclinic Athens. She is a member of the Hellenic Society of Cardiology, the German Society of Cardiology, the German Society for Pediatric Cardiology, and the German Resuscitation Council. Since 2021, after successful examinations approved by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies of the USA (NCCA), she has received the Global IBCLC Certification as a Breastfeeding Consultant, whereby, with her knowledge and experience in breastfeeding-related issues (e.g., breastfeeding difficulties, prematurity, multiple pregnancies), she actively supports mothers in this purpose. Regarding her professional experience, the doctor has worked for 5 years at the Alexandra Health Center as a Registrar B, with experience in managing emergency pediatric cases as well as Covid-19 morbidity cases in children. Additionally, she has worked at the Global Brigades Polyclinic, providing primary healthcare services to socially vulnerable groups. She holds a doctorate from the Medical School of the University of Crete and a postgraduate degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology from Panteion University, as well as a medical degree from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has completed pediatric ENT specializations through fellowships at the Children’s Hospital of Buffalo (USA) and Evelina Children’s Hospital (UK).
