Επίσης έλαβε περαιτέρω εξειδίκευση σε προχωρημένες τεχνικές λαπαροσκοπικής και υστεροσκοπικής χειρουργικής στο Πανεπιστημιακό Νοσοκομείο Ulleval του Όσλο. Το 2001 απέκτησε την Ευρωπαϊκή πιστοποίηση Κολποσκόπησης από το Βασιλικό Κολλέγιο Μαιευτήρων - Γυναικολόγων του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου, ενώ το 2002 πιστοποιήθηκε από το Family Planning Association της Μεγάλης Βρετανίας. Σπούδασε στην Ιατρική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου της Βόννης στη Γερμανία από όπου αποφοίτησε το 1993. Στη συνέχεια μετέβη στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και ειδικεύθηκε εξ ολοκλήρου στη Μαιευτική - Γυναικολογία.
