Dimitrios Benas is a Cardiologist with high scientific expertise and extensive research activity, combining clinical experience with academic excellence. He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Crete and subsequently specialized in Cardiology at the University Hospital “Attikon,” where he completed his training in 2024. In parallel, he obtained his PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with the highest distinction (“Excellent”).He holds the European Diploma in Cardiology (European Examination in Core Cardiology) and has authored 24 publications in international peer-reviewed journals, with over 250 citations on Scopus and an h-index of 9 — indicators reflecting the global scientific recognition of his work. His research interests focus on arterial hypertension, pulmonary hypertension, and cardiopulmonary exercise testing, with active participation in multicenter Greek and European studies.He has lectured in numerous seminars and conferences, training physicians in cardiopulmonary exercise testing, and has been repeatedly invited as a speaker and panelist at major scientific events in Greece and abroad.Since 2025, he has maintained a private cardiology practice in Piraeus, offering comprehensive prevention, diagnostic, and treatment services for cardiovascular diseases, based on the latest scientific evidence.
