Palios Ioannis holds a PhD from the Medical School of the University of Athens and is the Director of the Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging Department at Metropolitan Hospital. Concurrently, he is a Scientific Collaborator at the 2nd University Cardiology Clinic of the "Attikon" University General Hospital. Previously, he has worked at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, United States of America. Dr. Kolyviras Thanos MD, PhD, FESC is an Interventional Cardiologist and Director of the 4th Cardiology Clinic - Interventional Cardiology at Metropolitan General Hospital, HHG Group. He holds an official Specialization Title in Interventional Cardiology and specializes in complex coronary artery interventions and the interventional treatment of aortic valve stenosis using the TAVI method. He was admitted through the Panhellenic Examinations to the Medical School of the University of Athens in 2002 and subsequently moved to Brussels (Belgium) in 2009, where he specialized in Cardiology. In September 2016, he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Medical School of the University of Athens with honors. He has performed more than 3,000 coronary artery procedures and is an accredited Interventional Cardiologist for the implantation of percutaneous aortic valves using the TAVI method. He has received a Fellowship from the European Society of Cardiology to attend the European Congress in Barcelona (2014), where he was awarded for the best oral presentation. Additionally, in 2020, he obtained certification from the European Association of Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (EAPCI) – Certificate of Excellence and since 2021 he is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC). Radamanthys Mparounis, MD is a Cardiologist with a private practice in Ano Patisia. He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens. After completing his military service, he worked as a resident in France (Paris) at the university hospitals “Broussais” and “Louis Mourier,” in the departments of Cardiology and Pathology, respectively.
