Skourtis Theofanis

Dr. Skourtis Theofanis is a Psychiatrist who maintains a private practice in Ilisia. He served as a military physician (1991-2024) and held the position of Deputy Director of the Psychiatric Clinic at the 414th Military Hospital of Penteli. He studied at the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and is a graduate of the Military Officers School of Corps. He attended the Health Application School (1997 – 1998), subsequently serving as a Unit Physician and Director of the Health Station in Kastoria. During his training, he received education at the Pathology & Neurology Clinic of the 424th Military Hospital and Hippocrates General Hospital of Thessaloniki (2001 - 2002), as well as in the Short and Long-Term Hospitalization Department of the 2nd Psychiatric Clinic of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He later served at the Psychiatric Clinic of Aiginiteio Hospital of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2003 - 2006) in inpatient wards for general psychopathology, alcohol dependence, the Short-Term Hospitalization Department, and the Day Hospital. He also worked at the Vyronas-Kaisariani Community Mental Health Center in the adult service and in the child and adolescent service. Furthermore, he pursued training in Forensic Psychiatry and in the Clinic’s Specialized Outpatient Clinics (Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Unit, Special Cognitive Psychotherapy Outpatient Clinic, and the Special Outpatient Clinic of the Center for the Study of Emotional Disorders). Subsequently, he was transferred to the Arta Health Center (2006 – 2012) as a psychiatrist of the Training Center and served as director of the psychosocial care team for Western Greece, director of the Health Station, member and for one year president of the Exemption Committee of Ioannina.
