Petroulias Vasileios

Dr. Petroulias Vasileios is an Orthopedic Surgeon with a private practice located in Peristeri. He holds a degree from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, University of Rome “La Sapienza.” During his specialty training, he served at the General Hospital of Nikaia - Piraeus "Agios Panteleimon," the General Children's Hospital "Agia Sofia," as well as the General Attica Hospital KAT. He has held the position of Assistant Consultant B’ in the Orthopedic Clinics of the General Hospital of Syros Cyclades, the General Hospital of Mesolongi Aetolia-Acarnania, and the General Hospital of Katerini Pieria. Additionally, he has been affiliated with the Orthopedic Clinic at the Central Clinic of Athens and the Medical Center of Athens - Peristeri Clinic. The physician manages a wide range of cases with precision and responsibility, covering nearly the entire spectrum of Orthopedics, whether dealing with emergency trauma cases (both conservative and surgical treatment) or non-urgent cases. Among others, he treats injuries and sports-related injuries with awareness and empathy—being an athlete himself—understanding the necessity of rehabilitation and return to activity. Furthermore, orthopedic conditions and musculoskeletal injuries in children and adolescents are also evaluated and treated. In addition to the appropriate pharmacological treatment, he utilizes therapy with autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) where indicated. He also employs Biomedical Acupuncture as a competent, safe complementary therapy in cases where pharmacological treatment has limitations. Lastly, it is important to note that Dr. Petroulias has been active in the educational sector, serving as an instructor for general practitioners and orthopedic residents.
