Διετέλεσε από το 2013 έως το 2022 μέλος του ιατρικού επιτελείου της ποδοσφαιρικής ομάδας της Bundesliga FC Schalke 04 στο Gelsenkirchen Γερμανίας και απέκτησε κατόπιν εξετάσεων την υποειδικότητα της Αθλητιατρικής από τον Ιατρικό Σύλλογο Westfalen-Lippe Γερμανίας. Έχει λάβει την Πιστοποίηση αρθροσκοπικών επεμβάσεων από τη Γερμανόφωνη Εταιρία Αρθροσκόπησης AGA με τομείς εξειδίκευσης την αρθροσκόπηση γόνατος (συνδεσμικές κακώσεις γόνατος – Πρόσθιος/Οπίσθιος Χιαστός Σύνδεσμος, κακώσεις μηνίσκων, χόνδρινες βλάβες γόνατος), την αρθροσκόπηση ισχίου (σύνδρομο μηροκοτυλιαίας πρόσκουσης, χόνδρινες βλάβες, βλάβη επιχειλίου χόνδρου) και την αρθροσκόπηση ποδοκνημικής άρθρωσης. He is a graduate of the Military School of Corps Officers (SSAS) and the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He specialized at the 424 General Military Hospital of Thessaloniki and the First University Orthopedic Clinic of Papageorgiou General Hospital. He received further training in shoulder and knee surgery (Shoulder and Knee fellowship) and in conducting clinical trials. He possesses extensive clinical experience, having worked in Greece and France. Moreover, he has a significant scientific portfolio reflected in 32 scientific publications in reputable international scientific journals (PubMed) with a substantial impact factor, some of which introduce innovative new techniques concerning arthroscopic shoulder surgery (instability and rotator cuff) and knee surgery (anterior and posterior cruciate ligament reconstruction). He is also the author of five orthopedic book chapters focusing on basic research and shoulder surgery (rotator cuff and shoulder arthroplasties), principal editor of a scientific orthopedic book addressing surgical techniques for the treatment of rotator cuff disorders and shoulder arthroplasties titled “EFOST Surgical Techniques in Sports Medicine - Shoulder Surgery, Volume 2: Rotator Cuff and Shoulder Arthroplasty,” and principal guest editor of a scientific journal issue on shoulder pathology titled “Thematic issue in Shoulder Pathology.” Additionally, he has presented over 100 communications at international and national conferences (winning two awards), participated in the organization of numerous workshops and conferences, and has been invited as a speaker and educator at scientific conferences on shoulder surgery and sports injuries.
