Cardiologists

Klotsa Dimitra is a Cardiologist who maintains a private practice in Zografou. She holds a degree from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and received further training in echocardiography at King’s College Hospital in London. There, she specialized in the Heart Failure Clinic (diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients) and in the ultrasound department, performing transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms on patients with heart failure. Additionally, she specialized in Pathology at the General Oncology Hospital "Agioi Anargyroi" and in Cardiology at the Cardiology Clinic of the Nursing Institution of the Army Pension Fund (NIMTS). Finally, she has conducted stress tests in the Nuclear Medicine Department of the Cardiology Athens, where she is also the Head of the Ultrasound Department.

Andreas Tassopoulos is a Cardiologist and PhD holder from the University of Athens with a private practice in Neo Psychiko. Concurrently, he serves as the Director of the Cardiology Clinic at the Psychiko Medical Center. He completed his studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Subsequently, he began his specialization at the General Hospital of Chalkida, which he completed at the Korgialeneio - Benakeio N.E.E.S. Moreover, he was a Fellow of the Hellenic Cardiological Society for training in advanced echocardiographic techniques at the latter institution. He possesses clinical experience as well as research expertise, having participated in multicenter scientific studies and registries. Additionally, he has served as an instructor in cardiopulmonary resuscitation seminars and as a speaker at conferences. He has also held the position of Cardiological Clinic Supervisor at Iaso Hospital and worked as a scientific collaborator at the Euroclinic of Athens. Finally, his scientific contributions are reflected in both his doctoral dissertation and his publications in international journals.

Ο Λιακατσίδας Κωνσταντίνος είναι Καρδιολόγος - Αρρυθμιολόγος με ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στο Χαλάνδρι, από το Μάρτιο 2023. Είναι απόφοιτος της Ιατρικής σχολής του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών (2006). Έχει ειδικευθεί στην Εσωτερική Παθολογία (2014) και στην Καρδιολογία (2015) στη Σουηδία, ενώ από το 2014 έχει ασχοληθεί εκτενώς και εξειδικευθεί στην κλινική αρρυθμιολογία και διαχείριση εμφυτεύσιμων καρδιακών συσκευών στο Πανεπιστημιακό Νοσοκομείο του Γκέτεμποργκ στη Σουηδία. Μετά από περισσότερα από 8 χρόνια κλινικής απασχόλησης με το αντικείμενο της εξειδίκευσής του, σε ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα καρδιολογικά κέντρα της Σκανδιναβίας και πληθώρα διεθνών σεμιναρίων και εκπαιδευτικών sessions, κατέχει άρτια γνώση και μεγάλη εμπειρία στην εμφύτευση και παρακολούθηση όλων των μοντέρνων συστημάτων βηματοδότησης και απινίδωσης, με >1100 εμφυτεύσεις και >2500 παρακολουθήσεις ασθενών με καρδιακές συσκευές. Συνεργάζεται με όλες τις μεγάλες εταιρείες βηματοδοτών/απινιδωτών, όπως Medtronic, Abbott, Boston scientific και Biotronik, ενώ είναι πιστοποιημένος και στην εμφύτευση βηματοδότη χωρίς ηλεκτρόδιο - Medtronic Micra (>15 εμφυτεύσεων), His-bundle pacing (>30 εμφυτεύσεων) καθώς και υποδόριου απινιδωτή - S-ICD Emblem Boston Scientific (>10 εμφυτεύσεις). Μετά τη μετοικεσία του στην Ελλάδα, το Σεπτέμβριο του 2022, έχει γίνει συνεργάτης της Δ' Καρδιολογικής Κλινικής Επεμβατικής καρδιολογίας του Metropolitan General, καθώς και επιστημονικά υπεύθυνος του βηματοδοτικού τμήματος του ΙΑΣΩ Θεσσαλίας και της Κεντρικής Κλινικής Αθηνών. Από το Σεπτέμβριο του 2023 συνεργάζεται και με την Α' Καρδιολογική του ΙΑΣΩ Γενική Κλινική (Μαρούσι). Στο ιδιωτικό του ιατρείο αντιμετωπίζονται συνήθη καρδιολογικά νοσήματα και διενεργούνται οι περισσότερες εξετάσεις γενικής καρδιολογικής φύσεως, όπως ηλεκτροκαρδιογράφημα, triplex, Holter ρυθμού (εώς 7 ημέρες) και πίεσης (24 ωρών). Στα πλαίσια της εξειδίκευσής του διερευνούνται και αντιμετωπίζονται επίσης διαφόρων τύπων αρρυθμιολογικές παθήσεις και διενεργούνται πιο ειδικές πράξεις όπως έλεγχος και προγραμματισμός βηματοδοτών, loop recorders και απινιδωτών. Λοιποί έλεγχοι, όπως τεστ κοπώσεως, stress echo, σπινθηρογράφημα μυοκαρδίου, μαγνητική καρδιάς, κ.α. που απαιτούν ειδικό τεχνικό και ελεγχόμενο περιβάλλον και συνήθως χρησιμεύουν στη διερεύνηση αρρυθμιολογικών παθήσεων διενεργούνται στις προαναφερθείσες συνεργαζόμενες κλινικές, ή κατ' επιλογή του ασθενούς.

H Χριστίνα Χρυσοχόου είναι Ιατρός - Καρδιολόγος, φοίτησε στην Ιατρική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών και στη συνέχεια εκπόνησε Διδακτορική Διατριβή­ στην Καρδιολογία (γνωστικό αντικείμενο Καρδιακή Ανεπάρκεια), στην Ιατρική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Έχει πραγματοποιήσει μεταδιδακτορική έρευνα στην Καρδιακή Ανεπάρκεια στο Cardiology Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center/Georgetown University, Washington DC, USA (2004-2005), καθώς και μετεκπαιδεύσεις (α) στην Επιδημιολογία και Ιατρική Στατιστική στην London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, UK, (β) στη δυναμική υπερηχοκαρδιογραφία και διοισοφά­γεια απεικόνιση και (γ) στην μαγνητική απεικόνιση στο Emory University Medical School, Atlanta, USA, από όπου και έλαβε Level II certification in cardiac MRI and training in 3D invasive echo και στην Προχωρημένη Καρδιακή Ανεπάρκεια - Καρδιακή Μεταμόσχευση Harefield Hospital (2024) και κατέχει ιατρική άδεια General Medical Council (UK). Σήμερα εργάζεται ως Επίκουρη Καθηγήτρια Καρδιολογίας - Καρδιακής Ανεπάρκειας στην Α’ Πανεπιστημιακή Κλινική της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών και είναι υπεύθυνη της Μονάδας Καρδιακής Ανεπάρκειας από το έτος 2006. Το Ιατρειο Καρδιακής Ανεπάρκειας έχει λάβει πιστοποίηση Αριστείας από την HFA-ESC Specialised Quality of Care Centre (QCC). Επίσης η κ. Χρυσοχόου είναι υπέυθυνη του Ιατρείου Καρδιαγγειακής Απεικόνισης Εξωτερικών ασθενών και της καρδιοαναπευστικής κόπωσης. Έχει δώσει περισσότερες από 1500 προσκεκλημένες διαλέξεις σε ελληνικά και διεθνή συνέδρια. Αναφορικά με το συγγραφικό της έργο, είναι συγγραφέας περισσότερων απο 480 άρθρων δημοσι­ευμένων σε έγκριτα διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά με κριτές με υψηλό συντελεστή απήχησης. Το αντικείμενο της έρευνας της έχει ως θέμα την κλινική καρδιολογία, και ειδικότερα την καρδιακή ανεπάρκεια και την ανάδειξη παραγόντων κινδύνου εμφάνισης της, καθώς και την καρδιακή απεικόνιση. Αναφορικά με το διοικητικό της έργο, είναι εκλεγμένο μέλος του πυρήνα διοίκησης του European Association of Preventive Cardiology|Population Health και μέλος της Επιτροπής διαμόρφωσης θεραπευτικών πρωροκόλλων του Υπουργείου Υγείας (από το 2016). Για το επιστημονικό της έργο έχει λάβει τιμητικές αναφορές και βραβεύσεις από διεθνή συνέδρια και οργανισμούς. Εχει αναγνωριστεί στη 10η θέση στο γνωστικό αντικείμενο «Καρδιολογία» στην Ελλάδα, #56 στην Ευρώπη, και στην 118η στον Κόσμο (World Scientist and University Rankings 2024). Βρίσκεται μεταξύ των Top ranked authors for 2020 -2023 (2%) ELSEVIER.

Ο κ. Χλαπουτάκης Γεώργιος είναι Ειδικός Καρδιολόγος και διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στο Μαρούσι. Ασχολείται με την κλινική καρδιολογία και είναι πιστοποιημένος από το υπουργείο υγείας για υπερηχογραφική εκτίμηση της καρδιακής λειτουργίας. Τον Αύγουστο του 2022, μετά από έντεκα χρόνια επιτυχημένης πορείας ως ιδιώτης καρδιολόγος, ανακαίνισε πλήρως το ιατρείο του με μηχανήματα state of the art στην καρδιαγγειακή απεικόνιση. Koumelli Areti is a Military Physician and Specialist Cardiologist who maintains a private practice in Ambelokipi. She completed her specialization at the First University Cardiology Clinic of the "Hippocrateion" General Hospital of Athens. She holds the position of Consultant Cardiologist at the Cardiology Clinic of the 251st General Air Force Hospital. She is a PhD graduate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Additionally, she holds the European Diploma of Cardiology (ESC European Diploma of Cardiology). As part of her ongoing professional development, Dr. Koumelli regularly attends and participates as an invited speaker and commentator at numerous conferences both in Greece and abroad. Palios Ioannis holds a PhD from the Medical School of the University of Athens and is the Director of the Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging Department at Metropolitan Hospital. Concurrently, he is a Scientific Collaborator at the 2nd University Cardiology Clinic of the "Attikon" University General Hospital. Previously, he has worked at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, United States of America. His area of expertise includes advanced imaging techniques in cardiology, such as cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, coronary computed tomography angiography, echocardiography including three-dimensional and transesophageal echocardiography. He received further training at Emory University Hospital in the USA, specializing in cardiovascular imaging, particularly cardiac magnetic resonance imaging and echocardiography. His private practice is located in Ampelokipoi, where he performs 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, blood pressure Holter, 24-hour rhythm Holter, Thoracic Aorta Triplex, Cardiac Triplex, stress testing, electrocardiogram, and issues health certificates and attestations. Finally, Dr. Palios is a member of numerous Greek and international scientific societies and associations.

Dr. Krezias Petros is a Cardiologist with a private practice in Alimos. He graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and subsequently completed his military service. He has completed a specialization in Clinical Cardiology for 2 years at the Argolida General Hospital, 6 months at the Nafplio General Hospital, and 4 years at the 2nd Cardiology Clinic of the General Hospital Korgialeneio - Benakeio of the Red Cross. Stathopoulou Polykseni is a Cardiologist who maintains a private practice in Peristeri.
