Ως αθλητής ο ίδιος (συμμετείχε επί σειρά ετών σε ανταγωνιστική ποδηλασία μεγάλων αποστάσεων -7 σπαρτακειάδες και πολυάριθμους αγώνες) είναι δικτυωμένος και δέχεται στο ιατρείο του αθλητές υψηλών επιδόσεων όλων των ηλικιών. Έτσι μπορεί να δώσει χρήσιμες συμβουλές σε όλο το φάσμα των αθλούμενων, από τους αρχάριους, μέχρι και όσους ασχολούνται με τον πρωταθλητισμό. Η μεγάλη του εμπειρία εξασφαλίζει την ασφάλεια στην άθληση, προστατεύοντας από την μία πλευρά τον αθλούμενο από προβλήματα υγείας, αλλά και αποφεύγοντας την αναίτια διακοπή της άσκησης. Maria Goutou, PhD, is a Specialist in Internal Medicine, born and raised in Larissa. In 1992, she was admitted to the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a nationwide distinction (first place) and a scholarship and graduated in 1998.
