Why she is suitable for you

The Psychotherapeutic Center "Eso" - Psyxotherapeutiko Kentro Eso Drpriovolou Aggeliki and collaborator Skordyli Danai Maria (Psychologist - Psychotherapist) is based in Artemida. Dr. Priovolou Aggeliki has been working as a Clinical Psychologist - Psychotherapist since 2001. She has completed all academic training (BSc, PGDip, PhD) in England and practical training in Greece. She trained at the "Dromokaitio" Psychiatric Hospital in the fields of diagnosis and psychotherapy for 3 years (1998 - 2001) and at the "Aeginiteio" University Hospital for 2 years (2000 - 2001 & 2008 - 2009) in the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders and personality disorders. Her doctoral thesis (2006) is based on Schema Therapy (J. Young), an evolution of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Maladaptive schemas result from an individual's life experiences, are subconscious, and include negative recordings and emotions derived from these experiences. They typically lead to depression, anxiety, relationship problems, substance use, weight gain or loss, and many other issues. The therapeutic approach examines both early and current life experiences, placing significant emphasis on the therapist-client relationship. This approach aims at maximizing life satisfaction for individuals facing simple or more complex psychological issues.

Group psychotherapy focuses on the common problems of the group, as well as the thoughts and emotions. Its goal is to improve relationships and change dysfunctional behaviors. It guides group members toward higher self-understanding and self-confidence.
