Koufopoulos Leonardos MSc

Koufopoulos Leonardos is a Psychiatrist who maintains a private practice in Neo Irakleio. He is a graduate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where he also obtained a Master's Degree specializing in "Promotion of Mental Health and Prevention of Psychiatric Disorders – Early Intervention in Psychosis." During his extensive service in the National Health System (at the Leros Psychiatric Hospital, Dromokaiteio Psychiatric Hospital, the psychiatric departments of "Evangelismos" and "Gennimatas" hospitals, and at Rethymno Hospital, where he worked until 2023 as a Senior Registrar), he gained clinical experience in the pharmacological treatment of mental illnesses. Additionally, he acquired clinical experience in community psychiatry through his work at the Hellenic Center for Mental Health and Research in Exarchia (EKEPSYE), the Rethymno Mental Health Center, the Mobile Mental Health Unit of Rethymno, the volunteer unit "Doctors of the Aegean," and his participation on the Board of Directors of the Social Cooperative Enterprise (KOISPE) of Rethymno "Arodamos." He has attended seminars on psychodynamic psychoanalysis, family psychotherapy, psychopathology, and psychodrama. Consequently, he provides his patients with a multifaceted, targeted, and individualized treatment plan, emphasizing their unique characteristics and needs.
