Kolentinis Mixalis

Kolentinis Mixalis is a Cardiologist and maintains a private practice in Cholargos. He studied at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and subsequently served as a Pathology resident at the “General Hospital of Nea Ionia ‘Konstantopouleio’” and as a Cardiology resident at the General Hospital of Athens “Georgios Gennimatas,” completing a continuous seven-year training in a wide range of cardiology cases. Beyond his clinical work, he has been actively involved in research. In 2012, he completed his doctoral dissertation at the Medical School of the University of Ioannina, with a special focus on the physiology of the cardiovascular system in vivo. During his specialty training, he was responsible for the educational and scientific program of the cardiology clinic as well as the echocardiography laboratory. He received further training in echocardiography at Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College London (NHS). Additionally, he was awarded a scholarship by the Hellenic Cardiological Society for advanced training in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (CMR). He worked as a clinical-research fellow at Goethe University in Frankfurt. He holds certification from the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) for diagnostics and training in CMR techniques (level III SCMR). He also specialized at the University Hospital of Ioannina in the latest echocardiographic imaging techniques (transesophageal ultrasound, stress echo). He has participated as a speaker at national conferences and seminars and has authored articles and reviews in foreign and international scientific journals. Finally, he is a member of numerous scientific societies and an instructor in cardiopulmonary resuscitation seminars (ALS Instructor).
