Mamounas Ioannis MD, PhD

Dr. Mamounas Ioannis, MD, PhD, is a Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist with a private practice in Pagrati. He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Naples, Italy, and specialized in Psychiatry, initially training at the Neurological Clinic of the Theia Pronias Hospital "H Pammakaristos" and subsequently at the Psychiatric Clinic of Aeginiteio Hospital. During his specialization, he participated in psychiatric research, completed training in Cognitive Psychotherapy, and worked as an on-call physician at the private Psychiatric Clinic "Galini." He later served as a Psychiatrist at the Vocational Rehabilitation Center of Aeginiteio Hospital, while simultaneously being an on-call Psychiatrist at the Psychiatric Clinic "Ch. Sinouris." Since 2003, he has been a Psychiatrist at the Local Health Unit of Pagrati of the Social Insurance Institute (IKA) and concurrently a physician for the Special Disability Committees of the Institute. From 2000 to 2010, he completed his training at the Society for Group Analysis and Family Psychotherapy, of which he is a member. Finally, in 2013, he was awarded a doctorate from the University of Athens with honors, with a doctoral thesis titled: "Study of the Predictive Significance of Biological and Psychosocial Factors for the Clinical Severity and Course of Schizophrenic Disorders."
