Είναι απόφοιτος της Στρατιωτικής Σχολής Αξιωματικών Σωμάτων (ΣΣΑΣ) , και της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Αριστοτέλειου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης. Είναι Fellow of the European Board of Urology. Κατέχει τους μεταπτυχιακούς τίτλους Fellowship in Laparoscopic Urology και Diplome Inter-Universitaire en Urologie Laparoscopique, Universite de Paris XII – Universite d’Auvergne (DIU).

Έχει μετεκπαιδευτεί με υποτροφίες της Ελληνικής Ουρολογικής Εταιρείας και της Ευρωπαϊκής Ουρολογικής Εταιρείας σε κορυφαία Νοσοκομεία της Γαλλίας, όπως το Hôpital Henri-Mondor στο Παρίσι , και η Clinique Saint-Augustin στο Μπορντώ . 

Από το 1993 υπηρετεί στην Πολεμική Αεροπορία αρχικά ως γιατρός σε στρατιωτικές μονάδες αποφοιτώντας παράλληλα από το Σχολείο Αεροπορικής Ιατρικής της Πολεμικής Αεροπορίας και από το Σχολείο Αεροπορικής και Αεροδιαστημικής Ιατρικής των ΗΠΑ ( Primary Aerospace Medicine Diploma, School of Aviation Medicine), στο San Antonio Texas. 

Εργάζεται από το 2004 στο 251ΓΝΑ ως Επιμελητής Ουρολογικής κλινικής και από το 2026 κατέχει τη θέση του Διευθυντή της κλινικής.

Είναι μέλος πολλών ελληνικών και διεθνών επιστημονικών εταιρειών, μεταξύ των οποίων η Ελληνική Ουρολογική Εταιρεία , η Νευροουρολογικη Εταιρεία, η European Association of Urology , η Endourological Society και η Hellenic Aerospace Medicine Society.
