Loizos Savvas MD, MSc, PhD

Loizos Savvas MD, MSc, PhD is a Cardiologist at HYGEIA Hospital and maintains a private practice in Neos Kosmos. He has worked and specialized in major hospitals in London (Hammersmith, Royal Brompton, Barts Heart Centre) in advanced cardiovascular imaging (stress echo, transesophageal echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance and computed tomography) and heart failure. He is a graduate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds a Master's degree (MSc) and a Doctorate (PhD) from Imperial College London, focusing on peripheral vascular ultrasound. He holds international certifications for performing cardiovascular imaging techniques (EACVI, SCCT). He is an active member of the Echocardiography Working Group of the Hellenic and European Society of Cardiology, the representative of the Cardiovascular Imaging Group of the European Society of Cardiology in Greece, and serves as a member of the European certification committee for performing cardiac ultrasounds. He has received honorary scholarships from the Hellenic and European Society of Cardiology and possesses extensive educational and research work, as well as numerous participations in conferences with lectures and presentations.
