Ο Ιωάννης Γκιάλας είναι Χειρουργός Ουρολόγος - Ανδρολόγος, Διδάκτωρ της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών και διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στη Πλατεία Μαβίλη. Σήμερα, κατέχει τη θέση του Διευθυντή της Ουρολογικής Κλινικής στο Ιατρικό Κέντρο Ψυχικού και είναι ενεργό μέλος της Ελληνικής Ουρολογικής Εταιρίας καθώς και της Ευρωπαϊκής Εταιρίας Σεξουαλικής Ιατρικής (ESSM).
