Dr. Dermatis Georgios is a Psychiatrist and maintains a private practice in Ilisia. He holds a medical degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. During his Psychiatry residency, Dr. Dermatis trained at the Psychiatric Department of P.G.N.A. "Evangelismos," the Psychiatric Hospital of Tripoli, the Neurology Clinic of the 1st I.K.A. Hospital of Athens, the Neurology Department of P.G.N.A. "Evangelismos," the Psychiatric Department of P.G.N.A. "Sismanogleio," as well as the Psychiatric Department of P.G.N.A. "G. Gennimatas." He has worked as a Psychiatrist in various Psychiatric Clinics, in the Long-Term Unit of OKANA, as Deputy Director at the 4th Substitution Unit of EOPAE (formerly OKANA), as a Visiting Psychiatrist at the Psychiatric Facility of Korydallos (P.K.K.), and currently holds the position of Head of the 4th Substitution Unit of EOPAE (formerly OKANA), Head of the M.O.TH.E. at G.N.A. "KAT," and is also a member of the expert witness registry of the Athens Court of First Instance. Dr. Dermatis has participated as a trainer in the "Program for the Provision of Supportive Companion Services – Empowerment for a New Beginning," conducting Group and Individual Supervision lasting 300 hours at the 4th Substitution Unit of EOPAE (formerly OKANA). He has been involved in educational activities of the Hellenic Society of Phenomenological-Existential Analysis and Psychotherapy (delivering seminars, therapeutic supervision of trainees), as a lecturer, trainer, and presenter in educational initiatives at the Training and Supervision Center of the Organization Against Drugs. Additionally, he has organized and implemented training visits for employees of the 4th Substitution Unit. In recent years, alongside his private practice activities, he has been engaged in monitoring the nutrition of residents of care institutions for persons with disabilities under the Holy Metropolis of Monemvasia-Sparta.
