Dr. Sofia Alataki is a Cardiologist with a private practice in N. Psychiko. Concurrently, she works as a Cardiologist Consultant at Metropolitan General, providing personalized and comprehensive care with an emphasis on prevention, early diagnosis, and modern monitoring of patients with cardiovascular issues. She graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with extensive experience in Greece and Germany. She completed her specialty in General Pathology and Cardiology at Städtisches Klinikum Karlsruhe in Germany. During her professional career abroad, she gained extensive experience in managing acute and chronic cardiological cases. She also worked in the Infarction Unit and the Hemodynamic Laboratory, where she specialized in the treatment of acute coronary syndromes and interventional cardiology. Additionally, her work in the cardiothoracic surgery department contributed to her experience in the preoperative and postoperative care of cardiac surgery patients. She specializes in modern echocardiography techniques (transthoracic and transesophageal) and in pacemaker and defibrillator programming. Finally, she completed her doctoral thesis at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau on the topic "Comparison of valve durability and outcomes of Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation versus Surgical Aortic Valve Replacement in patients with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis and less than high-risk for surgery."
