Ο Σωτήριος Δ. Καραμαγκιόλας, εισήχθη με Πανελλήνιες εξετάσεις στην Ιατρική σχολή τωνΙωαννίνων, όπου έλαβε το πτυχίο το 2007. Ξεκίνησε την ειδίκευσή του στην Ωτορινολαρυγγολογία το 2013, στην Α’ Πανεπιστημιακή Ωτορινολαρυγγολογική Κλινική (Γ.Ν.Α. “Ιπποκράτειο”). Κατά τη διάρκεια της ειδικότητας εκπαιδεύτηκε παράλληλα στην Πλαστική Χειρουργική, στο Γ.Ν.Α. ‘’Γεννηματάς’’. Επιπλέον, εκπονήθηκε η Διδακτορική διατριβή (PhD) του στον καρκίνο του λάρυγγα, την οποία ολοκλήρωσε. Μετά το τέλος της ειδικότητας παρέμεινε στο ΄΄Ιπποκράτειο΄΄, αποκτώντας εμπειρία σε χειρουργεία κεφαλής και τραχήλου. Κατόπιν για 2 περίπου έτη εργάστηκε ως επικουρικός επιμελητής στο Γ.Ν. ’’Τζάνειο’’. Το 2019 ξεκίνησε την εξειδίκευση/master στη Ρινολογία, την οποία ολοκλήρωσε. Το 2020 διορίστηκε στο Πανεπιστημιακό Γ.Ν. ΄΄ΑΤΤΙΚΟΝ΄΄,ως επιμελητής Β΄, όπου και εξελίχθηκε σε επιμελητή Α’, θέση την οποία κατέχει ως σήμερα.
