Ακολούθως, μετεκπαιδεύθηκε στις διακαθετηριακές θεραπείες των βαλβιδοπαθειών στο Stanford School of Medicine (ΗΠΑ), όπου συμμετείχε σε μεγάλο αριθμό επεμβάσεων ως πρώτος χειριστής, όπως:

-διακαθετηριακή εμφύτευση αορτικής βαλβίδας (TAVI / TAVR),

-επιδιόρθωση ανεπάρκειας μιτροειδούς βαλβίδας με ειδικό κλιπ (MitraClip),

-σύγκλειση ανοικτού ωοειδούς τρήματος (PFO) και μεσοκολπικής επικοινωνίας (ASD).

Επιπλέον, συγκαταλέγεται στους πρώτους καθετηριαστές παγκοσμίως που συμμετείχαν σε επεμβάσεις διακαθετηριακής αντικατάστασης της τριγλώχινας βαλβίδας με το σύστημα Evoque (Edwards Lifesciences) στο Πανεπιστημιακό Νοσοκομείο Stanford, ένα από τα κορυφαία κέντρα παγκοσμίως στη συγκεκριμένη τεχνική.

Ο ιατρός διαθέτει επίσης εξειδίκευση στη Μαγνητική Τομογραφία Καρδιάς (CMR) από το University of Chicago (ΗΠΑ), καθώς και μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο στη Διοίκηση της Υγείας από το Πανεπιστήμιο Πειραιώς.
