Dimopoulou Stefania MD, MSc, FMD

Dimopoulou Stefania is an Obstetrician-Gynecologist specializing in prenatal screening and fetal medicine, maintaining a private practice in the center of Athens. She is also a collaborator at the Fetal-Maternal Medicine department in the “Leto” and “REA” hospitals. She holds a license for performing Obstetric and Gynecological Ultrasounds granted by the National Centre for Continuing Medical Education (KESY). She conducts comprehensive ultrasound examinations using the latest GE Voluson S8 BT22 ultrasonography system during pregnancy (early pregnancy ultrasound, nuchal translucency ultrasound, second-trimester ultrasound, Doppler ultrasound during pregnancy, 3D/4D ultrasound with HD live software, cervical length measurement), invasive diagnostic testing for fetal chromosomal abnormalities (chorionic villus sampling and amniocentesis), and gynecological ultrasounds. She graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the First University Clinic of the General Hospital “Alexandra.” She holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in “Pathology of Pregnancy” from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, focusing on the monitoring and management of high-risk pregnancies. She specialized in Fetal Medicine at the internationally renowned Harris Birthright Research Centre for Fetal Medicine at King’s College Hospital in London, under the supervision of Professor Kypros Nicolaides, the founder and pioneer of fetal medicine, and obtained the “Diploma in Fetal Medicine.” Finally, during her specialization, she participated in research groups and contributed to the authorship of multiple publications in leading international scientific journals.
