Είναι εξειδικευμένος στη θεραπευτική άσκηση και Clinical Instructor στο Pilates, ενώ διαθέτει πιστοποιήσεις στον βιοϊατρικό βελονισμό και την ξηρά βελόνα, στο Manual Therapy, στη θεραπεία μυοπεριτονιακού πόνου, στην τεχνική ERGON (IASTM) και στο Kinesio Taping. Έχει εργαστεί στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο (St John’s Wood Physiotherapy & Kensington Physiotherapy), στο κέντρο αποκατάστασης «Φιλοκτήτης» σε νευρολογικά περιστατικά, καθώς και στο ΙΑΣΩ General σε μετεγχειρητική αποκατάσταση.

Ο Ηλίας Ασημάκης είναι απόφοιτος του Τμήματος Φυσικοθεραπείας Στερεάς Ελλάδας και τακτικό μέλος του Πανελλήνιου Συλλόγου Φυσικοθεραπευτών.
