Toumen-Mikrouli Selin is a Psychologist, graduate of the University of Constantinople, with a master's degree in Typical and Atypical Developmental Psychology from the Sapienza University of Rome.
She possesses extensive experience in psychotherapy for children and adolescents, play therapy, child-parent relationship therapy (filial therapy), as well as psychosocial support for families. She has worked with children, adolescents, and parents in Turkey, Italy, and Greece, gaining significant experience in multicultural settings.
In the early stages of her professional career, she worked with non-governmental organizations, supporting the psychosocial adjustment of immigrant children and their families. During this period, she actively participated in interventions focusing on the child, psychological trauma, attachment, and cultural diversity.
She is fluent in Turkish, Greek, English, and Italian, enabling her to work effectively in multilingual and multicultural therapeutic environments. Her therapeutic approach is based on evidence-based practices and is governed by respect, empathy, and ethics, with the primary goal of the emotional and developmental well-being of children and adolescents.
