Επίσης, είναι μέλος σε Ελληνικές και διεθνείς επιστημονικές εταιρείες. Είναι ο μοναδικός Έλληνας Γυναικολόγος κάτοχος του Ευρωπαϊκού Προγράμματος Σπουδών "European Master's Degree in Surgical Oncology, reconstructive and aesthetic Breast Surgery". Ο Φανουργιάκης Αλέξανδρος είναι Γυναικολόγος - Μαιευτήρας και διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στους Αμπελοκήπους.
