Είναι Διδάκτωρ της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Είναι Fellow μετά από κρίση του American College of Surgeons (ACS) και του American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS). Έχει διατελέσει εκπρόσωπος των νέων χειρουργών παχέος εντέρου και ορθού της Ευρώπης στην Επιτροπή Μελών του European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP). Έχει εκπαιδευτεί στο Μιλάνο και στη Βιέννη στις τεχνικές TransAnal Minimally Invasive Surgery (TAMIS) και σε όλες τις νεότερες τεχνικές αντιμετώπισης περιεδρικών συριγγίων αντίστοιχα. Το ερευνητικό του ενδιαφέρον αφορά κυρίως τον καρκίνο του ορθού, τη χειρουργική υπό φθορίζουσες ουσίες και τα μεσο-μακροπρόθεσμα αποτελέσματα της λαπαροσκοπικής και ρομποτικής χειρουργικής στις παθήσεις παχέος εντέρου και ορθού. Έχει διατελέσει υπεύθυνος για την Ελλάδα σε περισσότερες από 10 διεθνείς πολυκεντρικές μελέτες με τις αντίστοιχες δημοσιεύσεις σε περιοδικά μεγάλου κύρους όπως τα Lancet, Anaesthesia και British Journal of Surgery. Είναι κριτής σε 11 περιοδικά χειρουργικής και μέλος του εκδοτικού συμβουλίου στα Nature Scientific Reports, Frontiers in Surgery και Colorectal Disease. Έχει συγγράψει πάνω από 120 άρθρα-δημοσιεύσεις σε ξενόγλωσσα περιοδικά με περισσότερες από 2500 αναφορές. Επίσης έχει συμμετάσχει ως ομιλητής σε περισσότερα από 20 Ελληνικά και Διεθνή Συνέδρια και έχει γράψει 2 κεφάλαια συγγραμμάτων χειρουργικής.

Karaiskos Ioannis is a General Surgeon with a private practice in Vari. He holds a degree from the Medical School of Athens and completed his specialty training at the 1st University Surgical Clinic of the General Hospital of Athens "Laiko." Additionally, he received advanced training in Laparoscopic Surgery at Montefiore Medical Centre in New York and possesses specialized knowledge in Breast Surgery as well as General Surgery. Currently, he maintains scientific collaboration with numerous private clinics and health insurance providers. Since 2011, he has been a Fellow of the European Board of Surgery in the field of Colorectal Surgery (FEBS (Coloproctology)).Dr Ioannis Virlos is a specialized colorectal and bariatric surgeon, also trained in minimally invasive surgery — both laparoscopic and robotic. He has received training not only in Greece but also in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Belgium.After completing his military service in 1992, he trained in General Surgery in hospitals in Athens and the United Kingdom between 1992 and 1999, obtaining his specialty title in General Surgery in 1999. From 2002 to 2012, he served as a surgical consultant in hospitals in the UK, Australia, Belgium, and Greece. Specifically, he worked at the following hospitals in the UK: North Middlesex, Arrowe Park, Derriford, Torbay, Exeter, Cheltenham, and North Bristol, as well as at Sir Charles Gairdner University Hospital in Perth, Australia, and Sotiria Hospital in Athens (as Senior Consultant).During the same period, he received advanced training in laparoscopic colorectal surgery and laparoscopic bariatric surgery at Singleton Hospital in Swansea, UK, and Heilighart Ziekenhuis in Roeselare, Belgium.From 2012 to 2021, he worked as a Consultant Surgeon at the following hospitals in the UK: Ealing Hospital, Homerton University Hospital, John Radcliffe & Churchill Hospitals in Oxford, Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Northampton General Hospital, and University Hospitals of Derby and Burton. He returned to Greece in 2021.Since 2023, Mr. Virlos has been the Director of Surgery at Metropolitan General Hospital in Athens. He also serves as the General Secretary of the Hellenic Society of Coloproctology. Finally, for the period 2025–2028, he will represent Greece at the European Society of Coloproctology.

Dr. Ioannis Zouridakis, MD, MSc, is a General Surgeon and Breast Specialist who has maintained a private practice in Korydallos since 1994 and recently within REA Hospital. He is a Scientific Collaborator and a PhD candidate at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He earned his medical degree in 1986 from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” with a doctoral thesis completed during his studies. He specialized in General Surgery at the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos" and further specialized in Laparoscopic Surgery at the University of Montpellier in France. He attended the European Advanced Level Course in Breast Disease Management for Surgeons in Athens and specialized in the treatment of breast diseases at the 6th Oncology Hospital "G. Gennimatas." Subsequently, he specialized in hernia surgery using dual mesh PHS & Prolene 3D Patch at Umberto I Hospital in Italy and also specialized in Minimally Invasive Operating Techniques in Colorectal Surgery. He has worked in numerous hospitals and clinics and has served for many years as the Director of the Surgical Clinic at Metropolitan Hospital. Currently, he works daily as a Surgeon – Laparoscopist – Breast Specialist (Consultant Surgeon) at the General and Maternity Hospital REA, one of the most modern hospitals in Greece. Finally, he has attended and participated in over 100 medical conferences in Greece and abroad.

Stefanis Panagiotis is a general surgeon who maintains a private practice in Daphne, while simultaneously serving as a registrar in the general surgery department at Euroclinic Athens. He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Milan. He specialized in General Surgery at "G. Gennimatas" Hospital and received further training in Laparoscopic Surgery and Robotic Surgery using the da Vinci system at the IRCAD-EITS training center in Strasbourg. Additionally, he has been trained in emergency pre-hospital medicine at EKAV. Finally, he is a regular member of the Hellenic Surgical Society.

Georgios Bpagias is a General Surgeon, PhD holder from the Medical School of Athens. He completed his medical studies at the Medical School of Athens with "Excellent" marks and undertook his specialty training in Greece and Germany (university clinics of general surgery and transplantation in Hannover and Essen). Concurrently, he completed his doctoral thesis on short bowel syndrome also with "Excellent" marks, while specializing in minimally invasive colorectal surgery at the University of Strasbourg, with an emphasis on modern laparoscopic techniques. Subsequently, he completed specialization in pelvic floor disorder management at the University of Venice.

In his clinical practice, he manages general surgery cases covering a broad spectrum, from minor procedures and routine laparoscopic surgeries to specialized colorectal and pelvic floor surgeries. His primary concern is responsible and evidence-based consultation on all surgical issues, aiming for appropriate guidance and making safe therapeutic decisions.

He maintains active scientific involvement, participating predominantly as a speaker and trainer in international, as well as pan-European and Greek scientific conferences. Additionally, he is the author of numerous scientific publications in international journals indexed in PubMed, reflecting his continuous engagement with scientific documentation and the advancement of surgery.

Ziozia Vasiliki is a General Surgeon, Senior Registrar of the 1st Surgical Clinic at IASO and maintains a private practice in Nea Irakleio. She holds a degree from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master's degree in "Surgical Anatomy" from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Dr. Ziozia has received a scholarship from the Hellenic Surgical Society to obtain her postgraduate degree, as well as a scholarship from the Hellenic Society of Coloproctology for specialization in colorectal and anal surgery at St Thomas’ Hospital in London. Finally, she is a member of the Hellenic Society of Coloproctology.

Paraskeua Aikaterini MD, MSc, PhD(c) is a General Surgeon and maintains private practices within Mediterraneo Clinic in Glyfada and the Ionia Therapeutic Center in Korydallos, Attica. She holds a degree from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) and has earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in "Surgical Oncology." Currently, she is a PhD candidate in the Medical School of the University of Thessaly. Dr. Paraskeua Aikaterini has trained as a General Surgery resident at the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos" as well as at the General Hospital of Drama. Dontas Ioannis is a Surgeon - Proctologist and Director of the Laser Surgery clinic in Ampelokipoi. He graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Simultaneously, he attended the Military School of Officers Corps (SSAS) and graduated from the Medical Department of the Military Medical School. Additionally, he completed postgraduate studies in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He specialized in General Surgery at major hospitals in Athens, such as the General Hospital of Athens "G. Gennimatas" and the Naval Hospital of Athens, obtaining his General Surgery specialty title after examinations. Moreover, from March 2006 to March 2017, he served as a First Aid Instructor at the Hellenic Lifesaving Academy. Vitsas Apostolos MD is a General Surgeon, Director of the "Cosmoclinic" Clinic in Piraeus, and maintains a private practice in Kallithea. He has specialized in general surgery at the 2nd Surgical Clinic of the General Hospital of Piraeus "Tzaneio," as well as at the Pediatric Surgery Clinic of the same hospital, while also specializing in Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery. Georgios Sarris MD, MSc, is a General Surgeon, Deputy Director of the 3rd Surgical Clinic at Errikos Dynan Hospital, with a private practice in Nea Erythraia. Protopapas Giannoulis MD is a General Surgeon with a private practice in Gkyzi.
