Dr Kyratsas Xristos PhD, FEBU, was admitted through the Panhellenic Examinations to the Medical School of the University of Athens in 1992 and graduated in 1998. He holds a PhD from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (doctoral thesis focused on sexual behavior in experimental models, grade "Excellent"). He specialized at the 2nd University Urology Clinic of Sismanoglio Hospital and holds the title of "Fellow of the European Board of Urology".
He worked for two months at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport, United Kingdom, and for one year at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Birmingham, United Kingdom. There, he specialized in Laparoscopic Urology and Endourology (percutaneous nephrolithotripsy, surgical management of congenital urinary tract diseases, transurethral procedures for urolithiasis and prostate hyperplasia, flexible cystoscopy) and was the sole certified operator of the extracorporeal lithotripsy machine. He actively participated in regular outpatient clinics for neuro-urology and urinary incontinence, urinary tract stone disease, and general Urology.
He has collaborated with the Andrology Institute of Athens for two years and served as a Urology consultant at IASO General Clinic from 2015 to 2019. He is a member of the "Hellenic Research Group on Urogenital Cancer," with a special focus on bladder cancer research. Since 2013, he has maintained a private practice in Nea Ionia, Attica, where he daily manages the full spectrum of urological conditions.
