Dr. Georgios Karydakis, MD, PhD, is an Orthopedic Surgeon, Military Physician, Doctor of Medicine from the University of Thessaly, Consultant at the Orthopedic Clinic of the 251st Air Force General Hospital, and maintains a private practice in Athens. He specializes in sports injuries, arthroscopy, reconstructive surgery of major joints (arthroplasty), pediatric orthopedic conditions, as well as trauma surgery. He graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Military Officers School of Corps. He completed a one-year fellowship at the internationally recognized center for hip, knee, foot surgery and sports injuries at the ATOS Clinic in Heidelberg, Germany (HKF Zentrum, ATOS Klinik, Heidelberg), focusing on a wide range of sports injuries and reconstructive surgery of the hip, knee, ankle, and foot. Furthermore, Dr. Karydakis has extensive experience in conditions such as cartilage lesions of the knee and foot, cruciate ligament and meniscal tears, limb length discrepancy, osteoporosis, spinal disorders, fractures, among others. Finally, he has participated in numerous scientific conferences and educational seminars and has an extensive portfolio of publications and presentations in both Greek and international scientific journals and conferences.
