Ο Dr. Γκερμπεσιώτης Παναγιώτης είναι Χειρουργός Ωτορινολαρυγγολόγος, Επιμελητής του Ναυτικού Νοσοκομείου Αθηνών και Διδάκτωρ του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Διατηρεί το ιδιωτικό του ιατρείο στην Νέα Σμύρνη. Ο τίτλος της διδακτορικής διατριβής είναι: «Συμβολή της μελέτης της ηλεκτροκοχλιογραφίας με ηλεκτρόδια του έξω ακουστικού πόρου στη διερεύνηση ασθενών με ίλιγγο». Μελετήθηκε τόσο ο περιφερικός (βλάβη λαβυρίνθου ωτός) όσο και ο κεντρικός (βλάβη εγκεφάλου) τύπος ιλίγγου και υπήρξε παράλληλη σύγκριση των αποτελεσμάτων με άλλες δύο σχετικά μοντέρνες ηλεκτροφυσιολογικές εξετάσεις, τα αιθουσαία προκλητά μυογενή δυναμικά (VEMP) και την βιντεονυσταγμογραφία (VNG).
