Otolaryngologists (ENT) in Attica

Ο Dr. Γκερμπεσιώτης Παναγιώτης είναι Χειρουργός Ωτορινολαρυγγολόγος, Επιμελητής του Ναυτικού Νοσοκομείου Αθηνών και Διδάκτωρ του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Διατηρεί το ιδιωτικό του ιατρείο στην Νέα Σμύρνη. Αποφοίτησε από την Ιατρική Σχολή του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης (ΑΠΘ) και την Στρατιωτική Ιατρική Σχολή (ΣΣΑΣ) το 2001 και ορκίστηκε Ιατρός του Πολεμικού Ναυτικού. Τον Απρίλιο του 2011 απέκτησε τον τίτλο ειδικότητας Ωτορινολαρυγγολογίας, Χειρουργικής Κεφαλής και Τραχήλου. Είναι μόνιμος στρατιωτικός ιατρός στο Πολεμικό Ναυτικό και υπηρετεί ως Επιμελητής στην ΩΡΛ Κλινική του Ναυτικού Νοσοκομείου Αθηνών. Παράλληλα συνεργάζεται επιστημονικά με διάφορες ιδιωτικές κλινικές. Κατά τη διάρκεια της εκπαίδευσής του ανέπτυξε ειδικό επιστημονικό ενδιαφέρον στην Ωτομικροχειρουργική (τυμπανοπλαστική, μαστοειδεκτομή, αναβολοτομή), τόσο με ενδοωτιαία όσο και οπισθοωτιαία προσπέλαση, ανάλογα με τις ιδιαιτερότητες κάθε περιστατικού. Παράλληλα, ασχολείται εντατικά με την Ρινολογία, και πιο συγκεκριμένα με την Λειτουργική Ρινοπλαστική (συνήθως κλειστή μέθοδο χωρίς εξωτερική τομή) και την Ενδοσκοπική Χειρουργική Ρινός – Παραρρινίων κοιλοτήτων (FESS – Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery). Ειδική δραστηριότητα έχει αναπτύξει επίσης στην Laser χειρουργική (ιδίως στις τμηματικές λαρυγγεκτομές λόγω καρκίνου λάρυγγα), αλλά και στην Καταδυτική Ιατρική [πτυχίο Καταδυτικής – Υπερβαρικής Ιατρικής, καθηγεσία ειδικά σε βαροτραύματα ωτός – παραρρινίων κοιλοτήτων, τμηματάρχης υγειονομικού στη Διοίκηση Υποβρυχίων Καταστροφών (ΔΥΚ) το 2004]. Άλλος ιδιαίτερος τομέας δραστηριοποίησης του ιατρού αποτελεί η χειρουργική αντιμετώπιση παθήσεων του θυρεοειδούς και των σιελογόνων αδένων. Ο ιατρός έχει παρακολουθήσει ενεργά πολλά σεμινάρια με πρακτική εξάσκηση σε διάφορες χώρες του εξωτερικού, καθώς και το χειρουργικό πρόγραμμα της ΩΡΛ Πανεπιστημιακής κλινικής στο Nottingham της Αγγλίας το καλοκαίρι του 2012. Τον Μάρτιο του 2014 ανακηρύχθηκε Διδάκτωρ του Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου της Αθήνας με βαθμό "Άριστα". Ο τίτλος της διδακτορικής διατριβής είναι: «Συμβολή της μελέτης της ηλεκτροκοχλιογραφίας με ηλεκτρόδια του έξω ακουστικού πόρου στη διερεύνηση ασθενών με ίλιγγο». Μελετήθηκε τόσο ο περιφερικός (βλάβη λαβυρίνθου ωτός) όσο και ο κεντρικός (βλάβη εγκεφάλου) τύπος ιλίγγου και υπήρξε παράλληλη σύγκριση των αποτελεσμάτων με άλλες δύο σχετικά μοντέρνες ηλεκτροφυσιολογικές εξετάσεις, τα αιθουσαία προκλητά μυογενή δυναμικά (VEMP) και την βιντεονυσταγμογραφία (VNG).

Mpoumpa Elena is an Otolaryngologist and maintains her private practice in Acharnes. Dr. Fetta Melina MD, PhD, is an Otolaryngologist maintaining her private practice in Chalandri. She graduated from the Medical School of the University "La Sapienza" of Rome and completed her doctoral dissertation at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her doctoral thesis is entitled "Study of Quality of Life in Children with Nasal Polyps Undergoing Endoscopic Surgery." Makrypidis Konstantinos is an Otolaryngologist Surgeon with a private practice in Athens. He is a PhD candidate at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds a medical degree from the University of Turin. She trained in General Surgery at the Penteli Children's General Hospital, in Pediatric ENT at the Children's General Hospital "Agia Sophia," and in Adult ENT at the Athens Thoracic Diseases General Hospital "Sotiria." Latzonis Ioannis is an Otolaryngologist Surgeon and has maintained a private practice in Ilion since 2024. He graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

In 2020, he completed his six-year specialization in Otolaryngology at the 2nd University ENT Clinic of "Attikon" Hospital and in the Pediatric ENT Clinic of the Children's Hospital of Patras "Karamandaneio".

After obtaining his specialty title, he worked for two years as a Senior Registrar at the ENT Clinic of Kalamata General Hospital, gaining extensive experience in the diagnosis as well as the conservative and surgical management of the full spectrum of ENT pathology.

Koutsourelakis Ioannis MD, MSc, PhD is an Otolaryngologist Surgeon (ENT) who maintains a private practice in Ampelokipoi. Ο Δρ Δημήτρης Κοτζαμπασάκης, MD, PhD, MSc είναι Χειρουργός Ωτορινολαρυγγολόγος με ιδιαίτερη εξειδίκευση στη ρινολογία, την ενδοσκοπική χειρουργική ρινός και τη λειτουργική και αισθητική ρινοπλαστική.

Είναι αριστούχος απόφοιτος της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Semmelweis και αριστούχος διδάκτωρ της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Το 2017 ολοκλήρωσε με βαθμό Άριστα τη διδακτορική του διατριβή με τίτλο «Συμβολή στη μελέτη της ποιότητας ζωής ασθενών που υποβλήθηκαν σε ρινοπλαστική», η οποία διερεύνησε την επίδραση της ρινοπλαστικής στη λειτουργικότητα, την ψυχολογία και τη συνολική ποιότητα ζωής των ασθενών.

Το διάστημα 09/2025– 02/2026 συμμετείχε στο διδακτικό έργο του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών ως εντεταλμένος διδάσκων, διδάσκοντας το μάθημα «Νευροηθική και σύγχρονη Ιατρική πράξη», ενώ συνεχίζει να συμμετέχει ενεργά σε επιστημονικές δραστηριότητες και συνέδρια.

Η ιατρική του εκπαίδευση ξεκίνησε με ειδίκευση στη Γενική Χειρουργική σε μεγάλα νοσοκομεία της Αθήνας και στη συνέχεια συνέχισε την ειδικότητά του στην Ωτορινολαρυγγολογία ενηλίκων και παίδων, αποκτώντας εμπειρία στη διάγνωση και αντιμετώπιση επειγόντων και χρόνιων ΩΡΛ παθήσεων. Σημαντικό μέρος της εκπαίδευσής του πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Κωνσταντοπούλειο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Αθηνών και στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Παίδων Πεντέλης, όπου εξειδικεύτηκε στη διαχείριση ΩΡΛ περιστατικών παιδιών.

Παράλληλα ανέπτυξε ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον για την πλαστική χειρουργική του προσώπου και τη ρινοπλαστική. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό συνεργάστηκε με τον πλαστικό χειρουργό Σ. Κοτζαμπασάκης, αποκτώντας σημαντική εμπειρία στις τεχνικές λειτουργικής και αισθητικής αποκατάστασης της ρινός.

Στη συνέχεια εξειδικεύτηκε στη ρινολογία και την ενδοσκοπική χειρουργική των παραρρινίων κόλπων, παρακολουθώντας σειρά μετεκπαιδευτικών σεμιναρίων και χειρουργικών workshops στην Ελλάδα, στην Ευρώπη και στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε περισσότερα από 34 μετεκπαιδευτικά προγράμματα, παρακολουθώντας συνεχώς τις εξελίξεις της ειδικότητάς του.

Από το 2004 έως σήμερα έχει πραγματοποιήσει περισσότερες από 3.500 ρινολογικές επεμβάσεις και επεμβάσεις λειτουργικής ρινοπλαστικής, με έμφαση στη βελτίωση της ρινικής αναπνοής και της αισθητικής αρμονίας του προσώπου.

Το 2021 ολοκλήρωσε μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στη Διοίκηση Μονάδων Υγείας στο Ελληνικό Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο. Παράλληλα έχει αναπτύξει επιστημονική δραστηριότητα με δημοσιεύσεις σε ελληνικά και διεθνή περιοδικά και ανακοινώσεις σε συνέδρια.

Είναι συγγραφέας στο επιστημονικό βιβλίο «Ερωτήσεις – Απαντήσεις Ρινολογίας», ενώ έχει συμμετάσχει σε περισσότερα από 30 εθνικά και διεθνή επιστημονικά συνέδρια.

Είναι μέλος του Ιατρικού Συλλόγου Αθηνών, της European Rhinologic Society, της European Rhinoplasty Society και της Πανελλήνιας Εταιρείας Ωτορινολαρυγγολογίας – Χειρουργικής Κεφαλής και Τραχήλου.

Διαθέτει άδεια άσκησης ιατρικού επαγγέλματος στην Ελλάδα, στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και στη Νορβηγία.

Professor Papaspyrou Spyros, MD, PhD, is an Otolaryngologist and maintains his private practice in Kolonaki. Following entrance examinations, he was admitted to the Medical School of Athens, from which he graduated in 1968. He served at the Rural Clinic of Pavliani – Lamia and subsequently was a resident in the Otolaryngology Department of Evangelismos Hospital. He continued in the same department as an Attending Physician and at the end of the year was awarded a PhD with honors from the University of Athens. He then moved to Boston, to the Mass. Eye and Ear Infirmary (a Harvard Medical School clinic). Professor Papaspyrou Spyros, MD, PhD, during his distinguished career, served as a Scientific Collaborator at the University ENT Clinic of Evangelismos, Director of the ENT Clinic at Evangelismos Hospital, and Scientific Collaborator at Hygeia Hospital. Finally, he organized pioneering annual “Workshops on Surgical Techniques of the Head and Neck” for 15 consecutive years, significantly contributing to the education and postgraduate training of Greek Otolaryngologists.

Dr. Margaritis Eleutherios MD, MSc, PhD is an Otolaryngologist with a private practice in Haidari. He completed his doctoral dissertation at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and received further training in rhinology - nasal surgery in Amsterdam. He holds a postgraduate degree in "Health Services Organization and Management" from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). Throughout his career, he has worked in numerous hospitals in Greece and abroad, including the 1st ENT Clinic of the University of Athens and the Academic Medical Center (AMC) in the Netherlands. Currently, he offers the full range of otolaryngological services at his clinic as well as home visits in collaboration with the 1st ENT Clinic of the University of Athens and specialized private healthcare facilities. He has published articles and presentations in Greek and international journals and has participated in the authorship of scientific books. Finally, Dr. Margaritis Eleutherios is a member of the Athens Medical Association, the Hellenic Society of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, and the Hellenic Rhinology Society.

Dr. Pantzopoulou Eleni is an Adult and Pediatric Otolaryngology Surgeon and maintains a private practice in Spata. She is specialized in Laryngology, Pediatric Otolaryngology, Allergology, as well as Interventional Otolaryngology. Additionally, Dr. Pantzopoulou has extensive experience in conditions such as acoustic trauma, noise-induced hearing loss, rhinitis, and specialized procedures including tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. Dr. Katsapis Nikos is an Otolaryngologist and a member of the medical team at Premedicare Polyclinic. He graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He specialized in Germany in Surgical Otolaryngology at the Sana Klinikum Remscheid Academic Hospital, performing a large number of surgeries covering the full spectrum of the Otolaryngology specialty in both adults and children. In May 2017, he obtained the title of Surgeon Otolaryngologist for adults and children following examinations by the Medical Association of North Rhine in Düsseldorf, Germany. He worked as a Senior Registrar at the Sana Klinikum Remscheid Academic Hospital and as Deputy Director at Marienhospital Gelsenkirchen, under the renowned Professor Ph. Dost. There, in September 2021, he earned the specialty title in Facial Plastic Surgery after performing numerous plastic surgeries (rhinoplasties, otoplasties, blepharoplasties, reconstruction of defects with flaps in oncology patients, etc.) and successfully passing the examinations of the Medical Association of Westphalia in Münster, Germany. He has participated in numerous Greek and international conferences and holds certification as a Head and Neck Ultrasound Specialist (DEGUM) from the University of Mainz.
