Maroudias Nikolaos MD, PhD is a former Chief Surgeon Otolaryngologist and maintains a private practice within YGEIA Hospital on the 3rd floor. He is a graduate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with further training at UCL University of London in Endoscopic Nasal and Paranasal Sinus Surgery, Rhinoplasty, and Otologic Surgery. He holds a distinguished PhD from the University of Crete in Audiology - Neurotology and has international participation in multiple conferences, seminars, and hands-on workshops at hospitals worldwide.
He has 35 years of extensive experience in the entire spectrum of current Otolaryngology and has performed over 12,000 surgical procedures. His private practice offers a wide range of services and treats numerous conditions such as otitis, allergic rhinitis, septal deviation, rhinoplasty, nasal polyps, vocal cord and laryngeal disorders, vertigo, sudden hearing loss, and tinnitus.
He has significant expertise in the bloodless tonsillectomy method using the D&A ultrasonic system in patients with tonsillar hypertrophy, halitosis, and chronic tonsillitis. He is specialized in aesthetic rhinoplasty and otoplasty. Additionally, he addresses lacrimal duct obstruction with Endoscopic Dacryocystorhinostomy. Lastly, he serves as a Disciplinary Officer of the Athens Medical Association and is a member of the Otolaryngology Specialty Examination Committee.
