Cardiologists in Attica

Το Σύγχρονο ΑγγειοΚαρδιολογικό Κέντρο του ιατρού Παπαμιχαήλ Ανδρέα αποτελεί ένα από τα καλύτερα και αρτιότερα εξοπλισμένα ΑγγειοΚαρδιολογικά κέντρα στην Ελλάδα. Το 1986 ξεκίνησε να λειτουργεί σε ένα μικρό χώρο στο κέντρο της Αθήνας. Έκτοτε και μέχρι σήμερα, επεκτάθηκε και με τη διαρκή ανανέωση και επέκταση του εξοπλισμού του βρίσκεται στην αιχμή της ιατρικής τεχνολογίας.

 Είναι το πρώτο Ιατρικό Κέντρο στην Ελλάδα που παρέχει τον θεραπευτικό συνδυασμό χειρουργικής θεραπείας, θεραπείας σκληρυντικών ενέσεων και PhotoDerm, όπου είναι ο πληρέστερος στην εκτίμηση και θεραπεία των φλεβικών παθήσεων, όπου και ειδικεύεται.

Ο υπεύθυνος του κέντρου είναι ο κ. Παπαμιχαήλ Ανδρέας, Ιατρός Καρδιολόγος, αριστούχος Διδάκτωρ του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών με μετεκπαίδευση στην Αγγειολογία στην Ελλάδα και Γαλλία.

Το ΑγγειοΚαρδιολογικό κέντρο επένδυσε και σε ανθρώπινο δυναμικό. Ειδήμονες Ιατροί και εξειδικευμένο προσωπικό διασφαλίζουν και εγγυώνται για την υψηλή ποιότητα των υπηρεσιών του στον τομέα της ΑγγειοΚαρδιολογίας.

Οι υπεύθυνοι των άλλων επί μέρους τμημάτων του κέντρου είναι :

Το κέντρο επίσης υποστηρίζεται από δύο εκπαιδευμένες νοσηλεύτριες και δύο γραμματείς.

Kalfoglou Theodoros is a Cardiologist with a private practice in Kallithea. He holds a PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, has received advanced training at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany, and obtained his cardiology specialty title from the University Clinic of the General Hospital of Athens "Hippokration." The doctor has extensive hospital experience across the full spectrum of modern clinical and non-invasive cardiology and 35 years of experience as a specialist cardiologist, with particular expertise in arterial hypertension, dyslipidemias, and clinical cardiology. Additionally, he actively participates in ultrasound conferences and has publications in reputable Greek and international cardiology scientific journals. Finally, he is a member of the Athens Medical Association, the Adult Echocardiography Working Group of the Cardiological Society, the Congenital Heart Disease Echocardiography Working Group of the Cardiological Society, and the Arterial Hypertension Working Group.

Agapitou Elena is a Cardiologist and maintains a private practice in Ilioupoli. She graduated with honors from the Medical School of Athens. She specialized in Cardiology at the General Hospital of Athens "G. Gennimatas." She also obtained the corresponding European certification after examinations (ESC). She has extensive experience from the University Hospitals of Lausanne and Geneva in Switzerland, where she acquired her first specialty title as an Internist and received additional training in Angiology.

Her practice is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and she manages cases across the full spectrum of clinical cardiology, as well as home visits with the capability to perform electrocardiograms, triplex scans, and the placement of rhythm and blood pressure Holter monitors.

The physician participates in the Cardiovascular Prevention program (free examination and cardiological assessment with a referral).

Fotios Theodorakopoulos is a Specialist Cardiologist and has been operating the modern Private Multi-Clinic IAZO in Haidari since September 2017, together with a team of experienced physicians from various specialties. He completed his studies at G.R.T. POPA University. Subsequently, he specialized in Pathology and Cardiology at the Attikon University General Hospital. Finally, he possesses extensive experience and has managed a multitude of cases over the years.

Elena Xairetaki - Premedicare is a Cardiologist and a member of the medical team at the Premedicare Polyclinic. She is a graduate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and provides her services as a Cardiologist while also serving as the Scientific Director of the BIOIATRIKI Group. She specialized in Cardiology at Evangelismos Hospital and has served as an Assistant Consultant at Pammakaristos Hospital. Combining her experience and recognized scientific expertise, she manages a wide range of cases encompassing the full spectrum of her specialty.

Oikonomou Konstantinos is a Cardiologist with a private practice in the Gkyzi area. He is a graduate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He worked as an internal medicine resident at St Barbara Klinik Hamm-Heessen. He completed a two-year training in the specialty of Pathology at GNNA "Sotiria". He worked as a cardiology resident in the Cardiology Clinic of GNA Sismanoglio-Amalia Fleming from 2017 to 2018. He completed his cardiology specialty working at the Cardiology Clinic of GNA "I Elpis" from 2019 to 2022. He received his cardiology specialty title in 2022. He is currently an affiliated Cardiologist with the Bioiatriki group.

Kontsas Konstantinos MD, PhD is a Cardiologist who maintains a private practice in Paleo Faliro. He holds a doctorate from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a medical degree from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He specialized in Cardiology at the 2nd Cardiology Clinic of the University General Hospital "Attikon." He further specialized, with a scholarship from the Hellenic Cardiological Society, in Pulmonary Hypertension and Congenital Heart Diseases at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London, where he subsequently worked as a registrar. Additionally, he specialized in Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing and Cardiac Rehabilitation at the University Hospital of Bern, Switzerland. He is a certified hypertension specialist by the European Society of Hypertension (ESH) and has expertise in advanced ultrasound techniques (Stress Echo, 2D strain, 3D Echo). He is a Scientific Collaborator and University Fellow at the 2nd University Cardiology Clinic of the University General Hospital "Attikon" and collaborates with Hygeia Group Clinics, Athens Medical Center, White Cross Athens, and the Gynecological Obstetric Surgical Center "Leto." Finally, he actively participates in Greek and international conferences through oral and poster presentations and attends seminars as part of his continuous education and professional development.

Mygias Georgios is a Specialist Cardiologist and maintains a private practice in Keratsini. He holds a degree from the Medical School of Sofia and trained in the Department of Pathology at the Military Fund Nursing Institution (N.I.M.T.S.). He specialized in Cardiology at the "Alexandra" University Hospital of Athens, where he serves as a Scientific Collaborator. Additionally, he is an affiliated physician at Doctors’ Hospital Clinic, City Clinic, and the Bioiatriki Group. Palios Ioannis holds a PhD from the Medical School of the University of Athens and is the Director of the Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging Department at Metropolitan Hospital. Concurrently, he is a Scientific Collaborator at the 2nd University Cardiology Clinic of the "Attikon" University General Hospital. Previously, he has worked at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, United States of America. His area of expertise includes advanced imaging techniques in cardiology, such as cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, coronary computed tomography angiography, echocardiography including three-dimensional and transesophageal echocardiography. He received further training at Emory University Hospital in the USA, specializing in cardiovascular imaging, particularly cardiac magnetic resonance imaging and echocardiography. His private practice is located in Ampelokipoi, where he performs 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, blood pressure Holter, 24-hour rhythm Holter, Thoracic Aorta Triplex, Cardiac Triplex, stress testing, electrocardiogram, and issues health certificates and attestations. Finally, Dr. Palios is a member of numerous Greek and international scientific societies and associations.

Dr. Ilektra Moulianitaki, MD, is a specialist Cardiologist who maintains a practice within the diagnostic center and polyclinic Polygeia in Marousi, being a member of its medical team.

She graduated from the Medical School of Democritus University of Thrace. She specialized in Cardiology at G.N.A. "G. Gennimatas". Her determination for continuous development and provision of modern, quality care led her to receive a scholarship in the latest imaging techniques at G.N.A "Red Cross". She obtained state certification following further specialization in the same field at G.N.A. "G. Gennimatas". She demonstrates significant educational and research activity, with active participation in numerous conferences.

Guided by her deep belief in medicine that combines scientific knowledge with human interaction, her goal is for every patient to feel comfortable, to be heard, and to actively participate in the care of their health. With a friendly and approachable manner, she supports the patient at every step—from diagnosis to treatment—with responsibility, honesty, and respect.

Her practice is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for conducting stress echo, cardiac strain, cardiac triplex, aortic arch and ascending aorta imaging, electrocardiogram, rhythm Holter monitoring, and blood pressure Holter monitoring. The doctor undertakes the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of cardiovascular diseases (Coronary Artery Disease, Heart Failure, Cardiomyopathies, Valvular Heart Diseases, Arrhythmias) and the regulation of cardiovascular risk factors.

She participates in the "Prolavo" program for the prevention of Cardiovascular Diseases of the Ministry of Health.

Soulaidopoulos Stergios is a Specialist Cardiologist with expertise in Interventional Cardiology. He works as a Scientific Associate in the field of Interventional Cardiology at the First University Cardiology Clinic of Hippokration Hospital of Athens and maintains a private practice in Nea Smyrni. Additionally, he is affiliated with the Athens Medical Center. He graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2011, and in 2021 he was awarded a PhD from the Medical School of AUTH. During his specialization, he worked in clinics in Austria and Germany. He completed the main part of his Cardiology specialty at the First University Cardiology Clinic of Hippokration Hospital of Athens in 2022. His research interests focus on interventional cardiology, specifically the interventional treatment of coronary artery disease, structural heart diseases, and resistant hypertension. He has published over 100 papers in reputable international journals, and in 2024 he was awarded the title of Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) in recognition of his research work. He is also a member of the Hellenic Cardiological Society and the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI).

Filos Euthymios MD, ESC is a Cardiologist with a private practice in Pagkrati. He graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds the European Diploma in Cardiology. He also holds a postgraduate degree in "Resuscitation" from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He completed his specialty in Clinical Cardiology at the General Hospital "Pammakaristos" and received training in the Hemodynamic and Electrophysiology Laboratory of the Military Pension Fund Hospital. Additionally, he trained in the Pediatric Cardiology department of the Athens Children's General Hospital "P. & A. Kyriakou". Concurrently, he was a Resident in Internal Medicine at the Internal Medicine Clinic and the Intensive Care Unit of the St Johannes Krankenhaus Hospital. Finally, his scientific work includes lectures and presentations at scientific conferences and workshops, and he has published in a reputable scientific cardiology journal.

Mousa Nikolaos is a Cardiologist who operates his private practice in Chalandri. He holds a medical degree from the University of Patras, has completed a Master's Program at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and has received further training in Advanced Ultrasound Techniques at Sismanoglio Hospital. Dr. Mousa has served as a Cardiologist Consultant at IASO and Metropolitan General Hospital, and has practiced as a specialist Cardiologist at Suleiman Al Habib Hospital and Mouwasat Hospital. Dr. Sofia Alataki is a Cardiologist with a private practice in N. Psychiko. Concurrently, she works as a Cardiologist Consultant at Metropolitan General, providing personalized and comprehensive care with an emphasis on prevention, early diagnosis, and modern monitoring of patients with cardiovascular issues. She graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with extensive experience in Greece and Germany. She completed her specialty in General Pathology and Cardiology at Städtisches Klinikum Karlsruhe in Germany. During her professional career abroad, she gained extensive experience in managing acute and chronic cardiological cases. Finally, she completed her doctoral thesis at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau on the topic "Comparison of valve durability and outcomes of Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation versus Surgical Aortic Valve Replacement in patients with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis and less than high-risk for surgery."
