Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου King’s College του Λονδίνου και Εξεταστής της UEMS για τη χορήγηση της επίσημης ευρωπαϊκής πιστοποίησης στους χειρουργούς μαστού. Έχει εξειδικευθεί στην Ογκοπλαστική και Επανορθωτική Χειρουργική του Μαστού στο διεθνούς φήμης Νοσοκομείο Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust του Λονδίνου, στο οποίο κατόπιν είχε την τιμή να εργασθεί ως Consultant Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgeon και Clinical Governance Lead. Ταυτόχρονα, ήταν Consultant Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgeon στο University Hospital Lewisham του Λονδίνου. Ο Δρ. Δουβετζέμης έχει αποκτήσει την επίσημη ευρωπαϊκή πιστοποίηση της UEMS για τη Χειρουργική του Μαστού (FEBS), μετά από επιτυχή συμμετοχή του, με την πρώτη προσπάθεια, σε γραπτές και προφορικές πανευρωπαϊκές εξετάσεις (EBSQ), ενώ είναι αξιοσημείωτο ότι από το 2021 έχει την τιμή να είναι ο ίδιος εξεταστής της UEMS για τη χορήγηση της ευρωπαϊκής πιστοποίησης στους χειρουργούς μαστού. Τιμή την οποία έχουν ελάχιστοι χειρουργοί μαστού διεθνώς, καθώς η επιλογή γίνεται με πολύ αυστηρά κριτήρια. Επίσης, ήταν από τους πρώτους χειρουργούς μαστού στην Ευρώπη που απέκτησαν την ευρωπαϊκή πιστοποίηση της BRESO για τη Χειρουργική Ογκολογία του Μαστού (CEBS). Ο Δρ. Δουβετζέμης είναι Fellow του Βασιλικού Κολλεγίου Χειρουργών της Αγγλίας (FRCS). Η ακαδημαϊκή του πορεία στο Λονδίνο ξεκίνησε με την εκλογή του ως Clinical Lecturer (Επίκουρος Καθηγητής) της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου King’s College, στο οποίο κατόπιν εξελέγη Senior Lecturer (Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής). Είναι, Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Λευκωσίας (University of Nicosia), Deputy Academic Lead για όλα τα Νοσοκομεία του ομίλου HHG (Υγεία, Metropolitan Hospital, Metropolitan General, Μητέρα) και Clinical Lead για την εκπαίδευση των φοιτητών ιατρικής στη χειρουργική του μαστού σε όλα τα Νοσοκομεία του ομίλου HHG. Είναι απόφοιτος της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, στην οποία ολοκλήρωσε και τη Διδακτορική του Διατριβή (PhD). Πριν μεταβεί στο Λονδίνο, για την εξειδίκευσή του στη Χειρουργική του Μαστού, ειδικεύθηκε στη Γενική Χειρουργική στη Δ’ Χειρουργική Κλινική Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Αθηνών "Ευαγγελισμός" και απέκτησε τον τίτλο του Γενικού Χειρουργού. Είναι, επίσης, επιστημονικός συνεργάτης στο Εργαστήριο της Ανατομίας και Χειρουργικής Ανατομίας "Ανατομείο" της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Έχει ενεργό συμμετοχή σε διεθνή συνέδρια και σεμινάρια και συνεισφορά στην εκπαίδευση των προπτυχιακών και μεταπτυχιακών φοιτητών της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, του Πανεπιστημίου Λευκωσίας και του King’s College του Λονδίνου. Τέλος, άρθρα του έχουν δημοσιευθεί σε διεθνή ιατρικά περιοδικά και είναι συγγραφέας κεφαλαίων σε διεθνή ιατρικά βιβλία.

Obstetrician - Gynecologist Dionysia Rompoti, MD, MSc, maintains a modern private practice in Ilisia, offering specialized obstetrics and gynecology services with a focus on breast diseases. Ioannis A. Thanopoulos is an Obstetrician, Surgeon - Gynecologist and maintains private practices in Ilion and Kolonaki.
