Papaioannou Hristos

Papaioannou Xristos is a Urologist - Andrologist and maintains a private practice in Thessaloniki. He holds a medical degree and specialized in the Urology Clinic of the University Hospital of Ioannina, as well as in the Surgical Clinic of the General Hospital of Xanthi. Subsequently, he completed further training in Urinary Tract Lithiasis - Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy, Male Infertility, and Erectile Dysfunction at the University Hospital of Ioannina. He is the Scientific Head of the Andrology Department of the B’ Urology Clinic of the Iatriko Diavalkaniko Thessaloniki and serves as a Second Consultant at the Urology Clinic of the leading urological team U4U at the same hospital. He collaborates with the Blue Cross - Euromedica Thessaloniki, is a member of the Medical Association of Thessaloniki, the Hellenic Urological Association, and the European Association of Urology, and has participated in urological conferences through the authorship and presentation of numerous studies. In his clinic, diagnostic assessment of urological disorders is performed, as well as treatment application with shock waves for the restoration of erectile function and the treatment of chronic prostatitis - pelvic pain syndrome and penile curvature (Peyronie’s disease). Additionally, the physician performs perineal prostate biopsy using fusion technology, which has a diagnostic accuracy of over 90%. He also applies innovative methods for the management of benign prostatic hyperplasia (REZUM_HOLEP), cystoscopy with a flexible cystoscope, ultrasound of kidneys - bladder - prostate (color Doppler), uroflowmetry, treatment of condylomas, and correction of short frenulum.
