Trakada Georgia

Trakada Georgia is a Pulmonologist – Sleep Medicine Specialist and Professor at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with private practices in Athens and Patras. She also works at the Therapeutics Clinic of "Alexandra" Hospital. She studied at the Medical School of Athens and specialized in Pulmonology - Tuberculosis and Intensive Care at the University Hospital of Patras, where she also completed her doctoral dissertation on respiratory infections. Additionally, she completed postgraduate studies in Health Services Administration. Subsequently, she specialized in Sleep Medicine and worked in prominent clinics in France and the USA. She is certified as an Expert Somnologist in Sleep Medicine by the European Sleep Research Society, and in 2019 was recognized as a specialist in Sleep Medicine by the Ministry of Health. She serves as the General Secretary of the Hellenic Sleep Society. She has significant teaching contributions, participating in the courses of resident doctors as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students. She possesses substantial research experience, evidenced by numerous scientific publications in international and Greek medical journals, has contributed to the authorship of many chapters in Greek and international books, and has served as president, coordinator, or invited speaker at numerous international and Greek medical conferences.
